New SSD 2.2 Proline Rings for SSD wheels

Something new on it's way?

Thread semi-jack: Is SSD coming out with titanium front upper links for the RR10 Bomber sometime? You have the rest covered, only those are missing.

Yes ;)

We did make samples of the Bomber front/Wraith Ti uppers. I guess we could make some...

Even with those rings it's hard to keep the prolines kr2 (2.2) in the 10 hole wheels...
i think i tried more than 10 times to mount those tires and they just don't stay... frustrating...
I wished prolines made normal bead tires. All other tires works great (Voodoo U4 in my Yeti with 10 hole too, stayed in the first try, so easy). I'm also using the Prolines single stage foams that look bigger than the CI DW tall. Or maybe just all together aren't helping.

Myself ,and others, have had great success with the SSD Rock Racer 2.2 rims and Pro-Line's Flat Iron XL. For some reason this combo seems to mount just fine. I've mounted and re-mounted to swap foams a few times. Easily seats and I have not had any bead issues.

@ SSD- any plans to make steel beadlocks without the external lock ring?

We actually discontinued our 2.2 steel wheels as they are heavy. So we probably wont make another any time soon.

Welp, so much for my favorite 2.2 wheel. Unbelievably tough, holds a bead like a boss, looks good, and in a year of thrashing them on 9lb trucks I can't find one single flaw. Discontinue them? Oh ok.

Yes they are good wheels but unfortunately not everyone wants heavy narrow wheels. We had to make a call on making thousands more of them as they can't be made in small quantities due to them being stamped.

Will I need these rings to assembly the Pitbull Rock Beast 2 on the SSD Assassin Wheels?

I had a set of pitbull rock beast 2 that ripped on the beadlock on the assembly. Now I got a new one and I'm thinking on getting this ring. Do I need it? Or I can assemble it on the stock ring of the SSD 2.2 Assassin wheels (black) with no problem?

No you don't need the Proline ring for Pitbull tires. The standard ring fits Pitbull tires.

That's good to know.

But then there's something wrong here, because today i got the new set o pitbull rock beast tire for these wheels and again they are ripping in the beadlock area at the same place.

Could there be anything wrong with the wheels or am i doing anything wrong?

Don't know what can i do different for this to work.
