probly just the picture. most of the previous SSD axles the pumpkin size is within 1mm or so of the stock Axial housing. the integrated upper link also gives the illusion of a larger pumpkin.

correct. SSD always released the rear first, then the front.

Terrible timing. I just BARELY bought my first scx curries a couple weeks ago.

Very nice. I love the one piece aspect, especially the built in 4 link. The fewer bolts I have to worry about keeping tight the better.

Another sick ass product. Like I said SSD has some serious style, ordered c's and knucks on Friday. Hope they are like the rest of there stuff, I should be very happy

if by hits you mean you are going to be hitting rocks like crazy then yes this will, what we need are smaller pumpkins not fancy new dress axles that go around the way oversized axial gears, sorry for the rude post but its the truth, i mean how hard can it be to make a smaller pumpkin axle with new over and underdrive gear sets.

so i assume you're designing smaller internals that take the same abuse that Axial stuff does? awesome, thanks! we're all (im)patiently waiting.

It obviously harder than it looks cos I seem to recall theres a lot of posts in the Ascender section of "how do I fix the torque twist", a trait that's inherent in a ring & pinion axle design with a quite high ratio which is what's going to happen in a small housing.

But by all means feel free to dip into your pocket & re-invent the crown wheel & pinion & locker & housings.
Be sure to r&d those gear sets good, we want them to be virtually indestructible. Oh & keep the price down, they're smaller than Axial do that's less metal so they should be cheaper.

Meanwhile back in the real world,
good job SSD-RC,
some of us likes what we see, like enough to own in fact, I've got the Wraith front & rear axles already.

what about the traxxas 1/16 crown wheel and pinnion for the smaller 1.9 trucks theres a jeep here on the 1.9 section with steel axles that he made and they are holding up. or a worm drive axle that looks scale would be nice:mrgreen:
