New SSD Diamond Pro Axles

I don’t know if this is the place to ask, but is there any SSD love for the CFX / CFX-W? Particularly a CMS.

I have a set of these axles built & ready to go under a CFX with a longer wheelbase. Just need the CMS worked out.

Thanks "thumbsup"

Maybe the bearing holders on the PRO44 have the same pattern as well ? ;-)

No, the bearing holders are not the same as needed space for the screw heads.

So if you were thinking of putting the two parts (third member and bearing holders) together then it's not going to work.

Maybe, I haven't really looked at those yet...

Add the width between the link mounts and the center to spread the lower links and shock mounts out and be done with it. Its just added width to an existing part with known dimensions. Many times the best soution is the simplest. We aren't building a space station here after all.

I'm with Trash, widen the link spacing and let us figure the rest out.

I wasn't suggesting an add on piece to extend the existing tubes, just making the tube longer itself. 1 piece tubes all the way, sorry for the confusion.

Add the width outside of the link mounts if you like as that simplifies the geometry issue. I'd like the link mounts spread out further for my personal uses so I'm selfish in that suggestion.

You are correct that xr universals won't clear ar44 c hubs cleanly. The hub center needs work to clear. That makes the easy route using ar60 style splines on the tubes. That creates another issue for the scale market not having a mount for the panhard bar. The tube could have a mount cast in but that creates an issue in machining time & cost. A new c hub made to have a mount built in which would be handy on other ar60 style axles. A bolt on mount could be made as an option part. Tap a couple holes in the tube and ship them out.

"thumbsup". I still think the link and spacing should be a little wider, but understand if it is not feasible. I like the panhard options listed here. XR width Diamonds under a 1.9 Bomber is what I'm aiming for.

I run the links and shocks on the outside of the mounts. I'll probably end up trying a set of VP scx link mounts since they're wider yet.

With the Pro44 Front axle, can the servo be mounted to it? If so, what would I need to do so?

Yes, you need a UC-Fab mount for the stock AR44, it will bolt right in

I just want to confirm.
I have my pro44 axles installed, purchased prior to the release of the Diamond axles(like two days):lmao:

Anyway I am thinking about switching the rear out to a diamond center housing. Am I correct in thinking I can purchase part number Part No. SSD00226 and reuse the axle tubes.

Yes that is correct.

where can one find the axle tubes separately? i have two "front" diamond axle housings currently, but i'm thinking about picking up the rear housing tubes to get rid of the stock style lockouts.

thank you! i searched around and i couldn't find them, i have no idea why they weren't coming up for me.
