A Koi and nautical stars, how original. Looks like nice work, just sick of seeing the same ol' shit on everyone these days.
Not much is original any more man. Let's see your tattoo, post it up!

when you are a tattoo artist, you have to do what the customer wants. "thumbsup"
No you don't! I stopped doing stars 2 years ago! Got sick of tattooing them everyday:evil: Talk them into something better that you can draw up for them, it's easy to do"thumbsup"

Why would you want to talk someone out of something that they want?

Skulls are original, like the ones in your avatar "thumbsup"

You don't wana go there with me:roll: I'll give you a few reasons to talk someone out of a tattoo.
1) because the same tattoo has been done a million times.....
2) because tattoos last longer than relationships......
3) because the tattoo they want won't look good as a tattoo, meaning the picture is to detailed for the size they want it.
4) because they want a raciest tattoo/ hate tattoo....

And a big reason.....Because what I tattoo on them is a direct reflection of me and my work! If it something that could make me or my business look bad, I'm not doing it!

You want any more reasons smart ass? And as far as my avatar goes it's not a tattoo:flipoff: And it is original on this forum! Another vendor on here made it for me, so tell Freq he's not original and see how that goes for ya.

People make poor decisions about tattoos all the time. It's my job to help guide them in the right direction and give them a nice, clean tattoo. Now when you become a tattoo artist you can tattoo all the stars, kanjis, butterfly, names, ect, that you want. You will be like the other 50% of tattooist out there. Until then leave it to us pros to make you look cool. Mater of fact sounds like you need a tattoo to help cover up that stupid you have:flipoff:

i agree 99.9%.... at the same time if you try to help them do something original, they could have there heart set on that star, butterfly etc... so its our job as pros to NOT make it just a star or JUST a butterfly. a good tattoo artist can make a tattoo flow with the part of the body its on! i have put alot of focus on this! i dont want any of my tattoos to look flat. i want them to flow with the curves, muscles, veins... so us pros can take a butterfly, add a few swirls drop shadows, and mabe throw in some negative space shading too. all this to make it a one of a kind piece of art work!

also, even though stars may not be original.... they can still have special meaning to many people! even if it is a basic star or two. not everyone wants an elaborate tattoo... which sucks, but some people have there mind set!

Oh I hear ya. I didnt mean on your end, ya did nice work. I meant how original for the guy wanting that,
thanks, i didnt do the stars, the kid got them for his grandparents that are past away.
they always told him to reach for the stars, so when they past he went and got the two stars."thumbsup"

The color work is very vibrant in the koi, it really pops. Well, done. I am not a tattoo artist, but I am an artist and I have a question about a personal tattoo I was wondering if you guys could answer...?
would you mind?

Sounds like they made at least one good decisions in going to an artist that cares enough to have suggestions. My wife and i drive to San Francisco from Reno (about 4 hrs) to get tattooed because the artist we use is Fing amazing. I wanted some random ass shit and he is tying it together so good. The way i see it, you get what you pay for"thumbsup"

And this is why it's completely and utterly appaling that most people will spend more time picking out a new pair of shoes than picking their artist.

If you ever make it to the west coast Kenny let me know I'd have some work for you "thumbsup"

i notice you outline everything. i'm not a big fan of outlining everything. really ought to avoid outlining teeth too...it's disasterous:shock:
