Hello, Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've just started this new "hobby" which has turned more into an obsession. I never would have dreamed it would this much fun to work on something as it is to actually play.
I have an Axial Wraith (which may be in some ways why I work on it so much). I do have fun fixing it though. I bought it second hand with a bunch of extras for 180. I have already sunk about that much into it again with parts ect.
I just stripped out it's first steering servo and I'm in the market on getting something that will actually withstand these tires. something 3000 ounces of torque and up. But as I said, I am still new to this so, in the aspects of actually wiring stuff that is not stock, I'm a little out of my league.
I have read that I'll just continue to strip the servo if I just keep buying stock replacements, so I was looking at the Hitec but got sticker shock. Are they worth it? Also what is required to install one of those servos (extra wiring)?
It was pretty stock when i bought it. I've just been dressing it up with odd and ends. Integy lower links, new knuckles and hubs, bearings. Putting another motor in it as well. Just bought a stock one of those though.
Any thoughts or directions I should go with it?
