Been in Xr-10 land for a couple days.... It is the xrv2 chassis from Thomas (Rmdw) an is amazing! It is completely worked over an the only thing stock is the axle housings an gears any the tranny with dig.. all the raw aluminum is from Thomas an all the links are stock creeper links, I like black so I got safari links on mine.. its actually 3 sets of lowers an one set of uppers..
Ur first pi. Looked good but then ur second pic with the shocks flat doesn't.. the internal springs needed stretched in the Lcc shocks so they will have to be stretched in ur shock bodies. They will also need to be on the back side of the piston to push the shock piston out. Try getting a longer screw an ur rear uppers out like 6mm more.. easiest way, use link end balls... Then start placing orders with Thomas an working setup.. I comp'd all year in the pro class with mine.. I have gotten to the end of upgrades, all the way down to Xr-10 steering mod, I can't go any further with it, so I picked up a Xr-10 to build... My wife didn't want to see me lose cause my rig wouldn't hold it together.. tho minus a blown rear drive shaft, I know I can place in the top 5 or even 3 running a shafty an It's an awesome feeling to do it with a creeper an not a front runner.. ill never get rid of mine! Keep up the good work an have fun with it!

Just a pic I did inside it looks cool also. Was thinkn bout gettn aluminum wheels but I like the way these look now. Lol

A winnerone I was reading on your posts that u shortend ur rear links did u have to do that for comp regulations or does the xrv2 chassis require that. I do not comp at this time still learning how to crawl an want to install a dig unit after I can crawl without one. Should get chassis next week and was wondern if I should go ahead an shortn the rear links???

Mmmmmm.... Best choice on chassis to start with. Can't go wrong there, its tried an a true competitor.. the reason for shortening the links is to keep a 12.5" wheel base. For fun or comp reasons, its still the best thing to stay with. Second, the reason for it is cause I was running Rmdw truss kit front an rear. At the time it was the way to go an for me, still is..it has proven its self in the pro class against the moa's.. its a longer front end with the chassis as well.. Thomas has since switched his around for more forward bias an moved the chassis forward.. which I like as well.. just never made it that far with mine, it was already setup for me an without a sportsmans class around, no need to at this time..
So I would leave ur links alone till you get the chassis an ur rig setup, then go for the 12.5" wheel base during setup... Get a 3mm tap as well, it will come in handy if/when you go with shortening links... If you need parts, tranny, dig.. mention it here before buying.. wheels look good!, just keep the nuts tight, they strip easy if not, aluminum is the way to go in the long run.. keep up the good work, can't wait to see build pics of the new chassis..

Checkn out gears an puttn n sum bettr grease an spotd this. A week or so ago I made a sevo plate to raise an mount my top links to and I thnk the screw I used wuz to long. O well just gives me a reason to get sumore rmdw parts

Good start on the tear down!

I hope you like saying that as much as I like reading it! New Rmdw parts....
Good job on the aluminum locker.. lol..

Yeah this Thursday I'm goin to order lincoln lockers an a btl servo plate. I've done a lot more readn on rmdw an the team drivers rigs an have pretty much figured out that rmdw is about one of the best dealers for hop up parts for the creeper. Should have orderd those parts when I orderd chassis lol. Last nite I shaved off stock shock mount on rearend housing front an rear also polished esc mount and motor heatsink pics as soon as I get n this eve

Nice work! Nice pics.. ur well on ur way! Yes Thomas does a great job with his products an lots of testing. I have not one complaint an have ran his stuff all year! Ur doin the right thing with the reading an ur mods look great!
