New Winch Spool?

Im just curious as to if anybody else besides me would like a winch spool made from somebody like RC4WD. I know it is fairly simple to build them. But as i was building mine today i thought that would be a sweet part machined out of aluminum. They could even make them for the different brands of servo's. What are your guys thoughts on it?

From anyone other than RC4WD I might be tempted but it would depend on how much line the spool can take

most of em are out of sight any way so why have a over priced machined part?

So if its out of sight, it means it can be a POS spool right? No, some people (kaetwo, unimoger, etc) for example like nicely built rigs (I do too, but not as nice cause of lack of money)

I bought a rig from KingCobra and it had this setup on it. One of the coolest and cleanest winch setups I've seen. It even has a bearing on the support end.

Ha, no kiddin. I don't think a single person on this website would mind getting themselves one of those. But i was thinking something like a thread spool for sewing, maybe bigger. I was thinking of something that could hold the 50lb braided fish line in abundance. But i was thinking, If they can make aluminum servo arms and sell them for $5-$7, they could possibly crank these out for a managable $10-$15.

HHMMMM, that is a fully functional winch, not just a spool, and there is no way it will cost 10-15.;-)

Oh yeah sorry, i was talking about just a spool being made. That winch would probably be in the $75+ range lol

well i took that picture on the back of a huge *** ford in montana! Grizzly4x4 had those that he was showing off!! it has hitec 5995 motor and gears in it. its going to have a free spool button you can push to let it free spool. going to have an aluminum cover to fit over the motor to cap off the warn look.... and your looking at around more like $200!

it is a 100% working warn 8274, 1/10 scale with it's own motor, free spool and engage, wire, fairlead and hook. stay tuned !!!!............................
