Ordered up some new diff covers after seeing how thin the Hot Racing units were, very pleased with the STRC units. Added VP trusses, VR servo bracket and VP steering setup. A Promodler servo will be added soon.

I ordered a few other upgrades as well which should be here shortly:

Holmes Torque Master 35T
Hobbywing Quicrun 1080
DMG Diff skid plates
Clamping 12mm hexes

Had some free time over the weekend so I finished filling up the shocks and re-assembling them and then re-installed all the upper and lower links to the main plate and axles.

Dropped in the new (used) Holmes 35T and made an electronics tray for the Hobbywing 1080 and Futaba Rx I will be using. These will tuck nicely under the Spawn interior. I also tried the beefier driveshaft mod for the time being, will see how they hold up front and rear.

I have been looking at a lot of fastback mods, and I knew I wanted to do it, but I wasn't particularly happy with just bending the cage and having an arc in it. I like the sharper bend so I trimmed off the brace area and notched that part of the tube hoping it would allow for a tighter bend. I'm pretty happy with them, might heat a few more times just to make sure there is no bow.

Looks like going to be a good build buddy. Are those wheels a true beadlock? How they holding up? Love color choice

Haven't actually run them yet, I ran the rig 2x after I got it and quickly started tearing it down to make changes. The Black Chinese Vanquish knockoffs are a true beadlock and hold the beads really well.

Some updates on my progress:

Dinky RC rear tray cut to fit and adding an Axial fuel cell from a Yeti. Bigger than I had anticipated, but I trimmed the bottom out to make this fit, I will be mounting Axial radiator and fans ontop of the fuel cell under a future Gear Head RC rear light bar.

I also picked up an SCX10 style bumper for $14 on eBay. Wanted this look, but not the cost for some of the bumpers out on the market. Made it work by securing through a crossbrace screw location and some thick zip ties. It feels pretty secure, will have to see how it fairs if it ever takes a tumble, but for now I am pleased. Will provide an excellent mounting spot for a front 2" light bar. The bumper is from a company called: topracing2000

Nice build. I liked the raw aluminum look as well. I'm not really a fan of gold, but I do like the gold color of the Bomber parts. This looks similar. Anything is better than that puke green which is what my lightly used Wraith came with.

I keep looking at the gold links and will probably sand them down to the aluminum. Will also depend on what I end up doing with the paint scheme for my body panels.

Wasn't planning on wrapping panels last night, but Carbon Fiber vinyl and a heat gun did the trick.

Tried painting the Proline Titus beadlocks a gun metal color, might have to lighten it up to a silver color, I'll see how it grows on me.

The gold looks good with the black carbon fiber. Black and gold has always looked good together. "thumbsup"

But black and shiny works great too if you decided to sand them down.
