I am charging a 7 cell 3000 battery that came with my stock slash 4x4. I have my charger set for 7 cell nimh but the voltage is at 10.5 volts and rising. The battery is warm, but not hot. Is this normal. Its the only non lipo I own.

Thanks
Ted

Nimh cells should be roughly 1.45v/cell fully charged depending on the quality of cells. So 10.5v total would be fully charged plus allowing for the peak of the charger still feeding amps into it.
So if you take it off it should drop down to around 10.15v saying its fully charged, but it does sound like the delta peak setting it out allowing it to potentially overcharge.

A little late, but, if it's "warm" to the touch but not hot, let it charge.
When it gets close to uncomfortable to the touch, it's too much.

When we used to "just before a heat race" peak, we would get them rather warm.8)
