Nintendo NES relaunch

If this sells well, which im sure it will, I would think Nintendo would make a SNES version.
Or make a way to add more games to this existing system.
I would rather have this over a Retropi unit just for the looks.

There are cases for the Pi that look like an NES box.

You beat me to it.

damn. perfect for us 30 somethings!
i might have look into this.

i hope you still have to blow in it, and do the secret cartridge jiggle.

wonder if game genie will still work

And 20 somethings...I'm 22 and my first console was the NES.

We didn't have enough money to buy the fancy nintendo 64.

Super Mario World 3 and Donkey Kong Country 2 are still my most favorite games. I even have my SNES hooked up to my 60" hdtv....I wonder if nintendo somehow made it higher def for this emulator. Because the pixelation on such a big tv is pretty bad using an OG SNES. The picture is clear though, just pixely

Seeing the comments...where the hell is Contra? RC Pro-Am? Paperboy? I wonder how they came up with those choices. I really hope they will be adding games of this thing sells well.

Lol....I still have my original NES...just need to repair the coax cable....it's a center piece and it starts some great conversations!

The Retropi....Is there an easy place to get the games?

Several of those games I have never heard of. Contra definitely should be on there. Jaws was another one that I played the crap out of.

But will you be able to save your game on Zelda, like the cartridge does?
And what about games like Metroid, where you have to write down those ridiculous codes.
Will you be able to save those games too, or will you still have to write down those stupid codes?
At least with an emulator on PC you can save game state. "thumbsup"

This is much cooler looking than RetroPi or the disaster clone cases. And it's officially licensed. I'll happy support the struggling Nintendo in order to keep this childhood brand around.

RetroPi has its place, but so does this new, mini NES. I want one and will have one. There are lots of great games not included, but there is plenty included to make this a fun console.

Who got one? My local Gamestop had 6 and since I am a working adult there was no chance of me waiting in line to get one. Everything online was sold out, but they randomly came in stock today on the Toys R Us website and I ordered one. Soon after it went out of stock. Then after that I got an email saying the ship date was unexpectedly delayed.

**** Nintendo for always screwing up launches. Sure, this generates false hype, but the people that get them are the flippers who try to sell them for 4 times the cost on eBay.

Target stores are supposed to have them this weekend. I haven't been keeping up with availability. I didn't plan to get one though i think it's an awesome idea.

My Retropi setup is awesome
I have the entire library of NES, SNES, and Sega games
Its a blast and have people wanting me to make some for their kids for christmas
