i have alot of fun at busse but its hard on trucks. i hate being right off of that path too. the slabs at foster are starting to lose thier luster to me. i had to spend quite a bit of time and effort bending back the tube bed on timmy after taking a couple nasty hits tumbling down those.

i hear ya on the luck of the bounce at foster... i groomed that little run along the river last weekend. there were 2 specific areas on that trail that had the broken off ends of roots that give everybody hassles. i got them out.

Yeah, I like some places better than others but, I'm grateful to have the 3 locations in our rotation. It would be nice to find new spots to throw in there as well. Someday.

I was thinking about a pull behind, I think they call them field mowers for one of my 4 wheelers. Though in mississippi 4 or 5 hours on a 4wheeler will get FREAKING hot.

OK lets think about that a lawn style tractor or even small farm tractor that topped out does what 15mph.. or an ATV when you get too hot you can for a 40 mph + ride to cool off. Not to mention depending on deck sized you can cover alot of grass pretty quick.

or you can get out of the sun and not care if it rains!

Actually we are buying a UTV or Side by Side as some people call them, they have a roof and the motor is not between your legs. That would probably work great with one f those 3 reel mowers.

I need to make some time to do some scouting. There's a big County Forest Preserve not far from my new place called Lyman Woods. I've been meaning to go check it out. It would be nice to have some different scenery. Maybe I'll grab the Big Metal Bitch and run over there this evening after work.

There's also Fullersburg County Forest Preserve and some other significantly large wooded areas with water running through them.

I'll see what I can find and take the camera with me. "thumbsup"

I would love to get a weekend trip to Starved Rock. Great rocks, trails and water features. We could camp, though me and tents no longer get along. There are cabins and a lodge on the grounds also. This is a little over 1.5 hours south for me. Just south of I80 off of I39.

Starved Rock State Park - Starved Rock State Park

Another choice is Rock Cut state park in Rockford. They have a group cabin for $20 a night.

Also if you have a nice handling car (real car) there is a very nice mountain road with wicked elevation changes and sweeps at starved rock. Its a blast but they specifically say "no cruising"

Damn nazis

I would be up for that, I love camping. At an hour and a half away...I don't know why you wouldn't just go home to sleep and come back, ha.

We keep hinting at a weekend camping trip...so let's just pick a date and get it scheduled! It's warm enough now that we won't freeze our asses off.

Edit: How about this...June 2nd and 3rd...like I said, let's just do it!

Taco - saw your post in the TTC thread...to answer your question, yes, those were Proline 2.2 TSL/SX Super Swampers that had 2" cut out of them (at the widest point) so they'd be class 2 legal height.

Can't wait to see the clod body! It's going to be clod city around here once I turn my class 2 in that direction and if zero's ever arrives. Ha.

So that would be the night of June 1 and June 2. I am up for that. I am going to check for hotel rooms as I no longer have camping gear.

There are cabins available in the park, anyone up to sharing a cabin? the smaller ones have 2 King beds and a fold out Chain bed.
I don't have a tent either but I've wanting to buy a small one.
Although, it might be nice to have a cabin.
Neil, do they have larger cabins?
W could just rent a cabin... maybe even have electricity to charge our lipos "thumbsup"

They do, I am getting ready to call them to see what they have. They have a family cabin which has more rooms and more space, then they have these 4 room cabins where each room rents separately.

Now I miss my RV, we could have slept 6 in that. I also need to make sure they will let us run our trucks.

Can we run them at Cliff's and find coal lodging?
