Neil, this garage sale you mention...are you going to be selling any tools? I may need to drive up there for that one (and to get my scroll saw).

Rick has it to bring to this weekends comp. I may make it depending on how my knee surgery goes tomorrow. Where is it?

I will be selling some tools.

  1. 10" GMC chop saw
  2. Skill set includes portable bench, panel saw, sawzall, drill/driver, flashlight, 18V batteries X 2
  3. Router dovetail jig

May be more after I dig. Also stuff like snatch strap, snatch block and other jeep stuff.

Trey you must have gotten lucky... I pulled out the motor and cleaned it, and new brushes are about half way gone! That sandy area was just a pain!

Johnny... here's a hill for your FOFF!

I was going to try and get the Rock Rider together... It might be easier to get the FOFF together but that thing is destroying my lipo's :x

I need to run 2... need to make a bracket on the links to hold the 2nd one.

Something I got in the mail...

And something else...

NIce score Zero!
Are you gonna have either of these running by the Cliffs?

Yeah, dunno about that one....

Maybe.. dunno, the EB needs a fair amount of work; need to grind some junk off, add some stuff like a spare tire holder, and integrate a bumper into the stinger, etc.

The Clod needs a bit less so; really not too happy with the 'servo winch mount', er I mean lack there of. So gonna try to do something with just a standard winch. Then there is a mounting plate for the tranny to go along with the transfer case.

And both at some point need interiors.

Zero, the best way to patch that hood is with a thin sheet of Styrene over the whole thing so that filler doesn't come back to haunt you down the road, that's a big void. Then a little strip of half round for the ridge. I have a stick of that I can bring you if you want. I had to buy a whole pack of it for one little strip to do my hood.

Cory at the scale shop gave me this little tip and it worked perfect.

Yeah, it's got some styrene underneath it... but really should have used a layer of styrene then just used the green stuff to smooth it out. May have to do a bit of grinding to get out what whoever did to it.

No I mean cover the entire hood with a thin sheet of styrene like this. Forget about the hole, leave it and cover it up:

Foster was nice today water level was low. Tried the 1.9 ripsaw there ok but ill stay with the 2.2 ill see if I can make it sunday I always have hard time finding this place been there only once

I'm thinking about going out to the cliffs with you guys. I'm not too fond of going through deep water tho, so I will probably stay on the trails.

I know some of you are bringing 1:1 trucks, is anyone bringing a quad?

Ah, interesting!

Then rebuild the center ridge with a small piece of half round and blend the edges. You can't tell the hole was ever there and it's perfectly smooth. I'll bring you a piece of half round Sunday. When I get home I'll check what thickness styrene I used...hell I've got extra, I'll bring you a sheet of that too.

Is there a separate NIRC classified or Wtb thread? I'm tired of getting flamed because everyone else knows everything and their stuff is golden.

We do have one in the club member area but none of us use it much, what are you looking for? Why are they giving you a hard time?

I believe only one guy in our group will have a capable 1:1 and some of us will have basic 4x4's. No quads that I know of.

ask anything you need in here, we're all a bunch of noobs, except Saydee, so don't worry about it "thumbsup"

Guy mentioned he was looking to trade a TJ scaler, had a few pictures and a laundry list of shit that he said it had. He was entertaining stock slash and savages also would consider comp crawlers. So i threw my ax10 out there got dissed because my rig just isn't worthy. It's cool though, I'd just rather deal with local people anyhow.
