Something terrible has happened..

I reinforced my hood & fender flares yesterday to get it ready for paint.. Used some emblem adhesive behind the flares and I get home from work today and it totally softened my body & flares.. Some kind of reaction I guess. Sucks.

I already yanked the soft stuff off, which was most of it..

This thing is going to need extensive body work unless I can find another body.. I'm not even sure what this body is.. I know its a TJ but, is it a NB? It has a removable grill & headlights..

Anybody know what my body is and do they have one?! Top dollar paid! This is supposed to be ready for paint by wednesday! Shit!

is it a fastlane? nylint?

sorry rick... that ****ing sucks.

if that newbright will work feel free to use it, or if you need one in better condition i have one relatively new.

Yeah.. Its looking like a nikko. Thanks jason.

We'll see how my body skills do and i'll look at getting another one asap just incase

btw i know its a shamefull thing to point people to another website thats *gasp* not rcc.... but scalerc4x4 has some amazing builds, and less assholes.

sometimes a good soak in liquid wrench or pb blaster and also sticking them in the freezer overnight will free them up a little.

Every knuckle bearing I have changed has been seized or blowed up:x

Ten seconds on the stove in the fire and they pop right out. Obviously this won't work with plastic. But aluminum will heat up faster than the steel and expand enough to let a stuck bearing come free with no special tools

Trey, how you doin' man? Haven't heard from ya in a while.. You comin' to town soon or what!

Ha I'm doing okay, just busy with work. Been working on the dingo some. Got my new 1.55 pit bulls today for the chevy. Got some shirts today! Working on getting the rigs all greased up and ready.

No plans to be in chi town anytime soon.

Well, one good thing may have come of this.. I sacrificed my YJ project that was on the shelf on a hunch that it might work.. I made a grill, did some cutting, grinding & trimming and I think it fits pretty well.. I need to make some quick fenders for it, lengthen the bottoms of the fenders a little bit and do dome finish work to it but, I don't see any of that being an issue. The best part is.. I can run this YJ.. AND the TJ using the same doors & mounts and everything. What do you guys think? I think it has potential.

I did, forever ago. But I canceled my order and ordered them from Crawler Inovations when I saw they had them in stock first. RPP's shipping to Canada is awful too. Everyone else is faster, even RC4WD.

true story, i once put 2 drops of harris liquid soldering flux IN MY EYE. i thought it was the visine bottle... i had to call my old gf (who hated that i smoked, hence the visine) and get driven to the emergency room for that one, hurt like hell all night. total stoner moment gone horribly, horribly wrong.
