I religiously run G-Force. They come from Bensenville, IL, they are cheap, they come with Deans and standard taps. I puffed a couple by running them down way past the LiPo Cutoff, but I have over 20 packs, 800MHr, 1300MHr, 2200MHr and 4800MHr Hardcase. I buy 2S, 3S and 4S. Can't be beat based on the price, delivery time (2 to 4 days) and reliability (on a cost per charge ratio).

GForce 30C 2200mAh 3S 11.1V LiPO
GForce 30C 2650mAh 4S 14.8V Lipo
GForce 30C 2650mAh 4S 14.8V Lipo

But to your questions, I also beat mine like redheaded step children. The key to keeping them healthy is don't leave them plugged in, and never store them in a unheated space during the winter. If you are going to go a month or so, put them in storage mode.

Maybe they will replace, but the dollar value is horrific. It's been proven over and over again by different tests that they aren't any better than the cheaper stuff. And with MaxAmps prices being so ridiculously high, you can buy two, three, even four batteries for the same price.

So true. I have puffed them as well. But they will replace. Customer service is really good.

Speaking of that.. .shot him a thank you note from the last comp, and even tossed in a few suggestions for battery sizes that I'd be interested in (more than just for crawling). Never heard a peep from him.

I always run True RC

I know where my new lipo's are coming from!
That is chead "thumbsup"

about storage mode...

i've been just charging mine up and putting them away, whats wrong with that?

I do too, but the "Experts" tell me I am wrong and that they should have something like a 3/4 charge.

It is funny, I always keep all of my batteries fully charged.

For my first batch of lipo's, I went with Sky Lipo from hobbypartz.
i got two 4400mah 3s hardcases and two 4000mah 2s hardcases. I felt they were pretty cheap at under $25 a piece give or take.
Im going to try the Gforce batteries next time i need them. Thanks neil.

I know not to leave them plugged in and put them in storage mode when i dont plan on using them for a while.
You think i should keep my lipos out of the cold basement when not in use?
Some say to even put them in the fridge but, no?

I've never "stored" mine. I even let a MaxAmps sit for almost a year and now I almost never run it but it still charges fine and seems to work fine.

I had LiPos go dead completely when left in my workshop over the winter, so not I store them inside. I do know that NiCd and NiMh worked better cold, in fact we used to charge our race packs in coolers on ice.

From what I have found in my research is they should be stored fully charged and kept around 60 degrees. It is recommended that they be kept in a Stainless Steel container for safety but I surly don't see that happening.

What C rating? Hopefully at least 25C or better, preferrably 30 or 35C (granted, C rating and how its measured seems to be a very loose specification).

They are all 30c. Id like to get a higher rated battery but, I think 30c will be fine for my crawlers as well as the sc8e on 2x 2s or single 3s.

Oh yeah you have an MMP.. yeah those should be fine. The MMM runs much better with higher amps, because the 8th scale motors draw more.

I cannot make up my mind

Well I'm sitting here with a waterproof BRXL, and a couple nice HH motors. I recently picked up a MMP and a Tekin 3300kv Pro 4. My problem is I'm going to end up wit two Wraiths one will be more KOH (and my comp rig for G6 and TTC. Which combo should I put in it the waterproof gear or go for the speed and power of th3 brushless system at the risk of not being waterproof. The other rig is going to be prettier, 4 wheel steer and more for the rocks than mud and water ... I know it sounds like a simple decision but....

When are we thinking? The 6th? I could do this Sunday if you're ready...
Busses sounds good, I want to test out my micro and mini crawlers, neither of which is currently running "thumbsup"

I could do the 6th and the 13th for sure.
