Scale Detail Engineering
I'm with Saydee ... either use them in all classes (which is what I think we should do) or do not use them in any classes.
i dont know why we should change the rules... i think we should adhere to the established SORCCA & G6 rules for all classes. it just makes sense to me to do what everybody else is doing...
scale points are a very nice way to balance the competition between those running close to stock wraiths or scx's (buisiness) and those running full-on custom rigs (pleasure). its possible to win both ways. but there should REALLY be an incentive to build better or more scale than what axial supplies out of the box.
if a dude builds a rig with full on interior, transfer case, etc, and runs the same time (or as clean) as the scx's and wraiths, scale points should be the deciding factor. and the time spent on making a truely unique rig should be rewarded in some way... as usually the more unique and scale something is the more it gets away from performing like a relatively stock scx or wraith.
and yes, i do intend on bringing back lemonade to class3 with wraith axles and some droop. and while i know it wont romp the rocks like my wraith, that porker has SCALE POINTS out the wazoo, and its capable enough to be driven cleanly and thus still competitive.
if a dude buys a rig with full on interior, transfer case, etc,
OK
Please make sure you guys have your scale point written. Also please note there has been change made to how scale point are given.
Ok, Jason sold me. On the wraith especially, we should ask one of the experts to help figure out the Base score. I have it some place for a base SCX10
I remember the truggy discussion but, apparently thats all different now.
So, instead of the frame rails coming up to the rear of the skid MINIMUM, with the option to have the rails extend farther..
The frame has to come up to the rear of the skid MAXIMUM and be replaced with tube in order to be considered truggy. Correct?
Time to start strappin' on the accessories!! Woo!
