No, it specifically says they don't.

"Bed : Not available to tubers.
• Tube bed OR flatbed: metal -3, plastic -1
• Bed mounted headache rack or roll bar: metal -2 plastic -1

Tuber: metal -8, plastic -4
A tuber consists of a complete body structure where the front, cab, and rear sections are comprised entirely of structural tubework.
Tube bed, roll bar, internal cage, and shock mounts points not available in addition to tuber points.
• Rigid metal/plastic body panels -1

Interior cage or exo-cage: (-3 metal -1 plastic) per row of seats or area where seats would be (vehicle doesn't need an interior to get these points). Cage must have down bars and cross bars in front and behind each row. Not available to tubers.

Now Sliders, bumpers and stingers are not part of the tuner so you get scores for those.

Yes. I didnt give myself anything that said it wasnt available to tubers.. Ahh hell. This shit is whack. I think Neil and I are on the same page anyways.

Just add up your scores to your honest understanding of them.

unless i'm mistaken, you aint got no hardbody/custom built body on your scrambler! aint it just a proline cj8?

Scrambler

• Hard body: full -8
• Complete custom built body: (metal or hard plastic, no lexan) full -4

i think 8 points for a tuber is kinda low considering neils points, but i can deal with it.

i never considered comps when i was building lemonade, but it obvioulsy fits under the full-on tuber catagory. even tho it has tube fenders and blah blah...

however... with my zuk i dont consider it as much a tuber as a rollcage that fits under the body with shock hoops and tube fenders and tube bed and all that. i can take all the tubework off, and install a set of stocker shock hoops and be good to go.

i got a light day, i'll post up what i think my points are and we can go from there. but yes, maybe a little discussion on how we apply scale points this sunday would be appropriate.

hmmm...
Some of this seems odd.
Let's take the Bastard Jr. chassis. Obviously a tuber, it does not get bed, roll bar, internal cage and shock mounts.

But, what about the trucks that are made from tube but also have body panels. IMHO, they do/can have tube bed, roll bar, internal cage and shock mounts.
I mean, if you have a "roof" with tube work above it... isn't that a roll bar.
or
if you have a "roof" with tube work under it... isn't that a internal cage.

Man, i would just about rather argue religion or politics, both of which I probably lean the opposite direction than most of you, than argue this scale points stuff.

interesting...

without the functional or scale items:

lemonade has 27 points (35 total in its current state)

tiny tim has 25... (27 total in its current state)
and i'm not even done with the build. i still got the interior, lights, sliders, roof rack, propane tank, highlift, spare tire & mount, strap-ons, etc...

however i am NOT considering tiny tim a tuber.

Mayhem

Tuber: metal -8
• Rigid metal/plastic body panels -1
• Tube fenders: metal -1
• Inner fender wells: -1 per pair
• Stinger/grill guard: -1
2D/half interior: 2 seat -2
• Realistic scale human figures: 2 -4 (torso up)
• Chassis mounted steering servo: -5 (front)
Realistic exterior items (max -6 pts)
Functional items (max -8 pts for all items listed below)
Looking for 8

total 22

10/50 will work as long as we stick to the rules on -6 for Realistic exterior items and -8 for Functional items.

Chris, nice doc, I was working on the same in a different form, but your looks a lot better than mine. A couple items I found.

- Total allowed for Human Figures since you can have 2 needs to be 2, 3, 4, or 6. you only allow 2 or 3. Third vehicle only allows 1 or 2.
- Total for Exterior Items, each trail tool is worth -1 and you can have multiple. The sheet only allows one.
- you cannot delete a score if put in the wrong place as blank or 0 are not allowed entree.

Ok, I updated this. For the last one, just highlight the cell and click the delete button and its vanished.

How do the G6 and SORRCA rules interact, or do they? What's the difference between the two?

SORRCA rule are the general rules governing the scale aspect of the hobby. G6 is actually a specific type of competition and in some cases make some mods to
The SORRCA rules.

Our Polar Series is not being run by the R.E.C.O.N. G6 rules, it is basically a timed trail run with standard SORRCA points and penalties.

We will probably start a TTC series in the spring and one or more R.E.C.O.N. G6's in the summer.

On the subject of the 2.2 Flatirons. The ones I have are the M3 compound and are 4.6 inches in diameter when measured flat. I checked a new uncounted, a new mounted and a used mounted, all consistently the same. So, I really have no clue where the 4.84 in the specs come from.

Anyway, I will be running 1.9 IRoks the weekend.

Class-2 “Trail” Details:

• Body/cage work must be at least 4.5" tall (including boat sides) and the inside of the front tires cannot extend outside of the width of the cab at the doors.

ok brian mentioned this rule update to me and i REALLY dont care for it. i can take a fullsize samurai and put dana 60's on it in real life and have the tires stick out past the body, and suffer the consequences on the trails.

i wouldnt be as bothered with this rule if all bodies were the same width at the doors, but different bodies are different widths, a tamiya toyota hilux and a tamiya f350 arent at all the same width, giving the yota an unfair advantage...

min gate width for class2 is 12", maybe we establish a max track width for class 2 instead of using the rigs body for reference?

i have the same issue with class1 rules. the way they are, some bodies allow for a MUCH better setup than others... tamiya hilux vs f350 are a good example.

So you know it was talk about thin the rule before. "measuring of tire is not allow. All tire go buy specs from company.

If you feel that the 2.2 Iron work PM WarPIg or post up in the rules.

I am really not sure.

I don't eather

I asked Warpig about this I see Jeep driven down the street here with wide tires.

and the reason is to keep people from using 1/12 or 1/18 scale body's

Brian, I did not ask anyone if I could keep running them. I have already bought my new tires. Some had suggested we measure them and I did, that's all.
