Trails here! Just seems more realistic/scale. I dig the rocks too but prefer the trails. I like to play in the mud!

I think if we had some slick rock like Moadb or some limestone like western Illinois, the Ozarks and the Tenn/Ky area, I would enjoy the rocks more. There is nothing realistic about climbing over the rocks at Busse. I have owned 10 or more 4WDs, 3 of them Jeeps, and we never went out to a field of boulders larger than the truck and climbed them.

Dosen't mean that it isn't fun, but I would prefer a trail run here or a mik of the scale looking stuff. That is what we have where I bought my retirement property. Really looking forward to it.

posted some stuff in nirc private section.

mostly rc stuff i was into for a week or two. i dunno if i'll get to pics of it all tonight, its damn late already and i'm just getting to getting my trucks ready for tomorrow.

I just got home and neither rig is ready to compete :)
I forgot balloons today and haven't charged all my lipos.

I lost my thread lock cleaning for the party so both of them both of them were built w/o it. I picked up some today but haven't had time to use it...

Hera can not shift and is missing nuts from several bolts.

I cleaned up Melons TSL's last night but haven't mounted them so she'll be running the 1.9 Rock Beast which are small for the wb...

It should be fun "thumbsup"

Had a good time at the comp today. Rocks were very hard to drive through but had fun trying. Did not break anything so thats a big plus and even got some cool trail driving in.

even got some cool trail driving in.
Sorry I missed that!

I had a blast today... I'm excited to run Hera, I think she'll end up tougher than C3 Melons if I can keep the electronics from melting down!
C2 Melons has a ways to go... but it was kinda cool driving a light rig, very new experience to say the least.

I just now got done moving the drywall and stuff.
I just stopped off for a well deserved beer and some chicken nachos ;-)

Thanks for the love Bad1, we'll take that little guy for a test drive next comp 8)

hera is badass john. the wraith axles look perfect on it.

i had a darn good time. those rocks are hard on trucks, we took a beating on those last trail runs.

Well pulled the motors apart. The one of them is fried well and truly. Will need a new armature; but I'm a bit worried about the magnets. The other motor was fine, just that one of the spacers had gotten stuck to a magnet and I didn't notice it when I put the armature back in, so that was what was making the clicking sound.

I just took my truck to a beach in whiting indiana today. It was free. There was even rocks there. To bad I didn't have the equipment to video tape it.

So does McMaster Carr have an actual store in Elmhurst or is it more of an order online and pick it up kind of thing? I can't tell from their website.

I don't know if they have a brick and mortar store but I oder online and have it delivered. You can't find the shipping cost before you buy, which sucks, but it has always been reasonable. I get a lot of thread rod and delrin tubes so I get those 6" diameter 6 ' long tubes all the time.
