Gggggrrrrrrr...can you believe it. Proline has a new jeep gladiator body for the xmax. Makes me very unhappy. I would love to see a gladiator body for 1/10 scale. They just have to make one eventually right? I cant be the only one wanting this body for 1/10 scale.

Gonna be hard to get the proportions right in 1/10th scale, because the wheelbase is so long. 12.8" is about the longest wb sold in a popular crawler...

I know. That's ok I can put it on my trx, lol. For crying out loud thet made a body for the xmax, really. I'll just keep waiting.........and waiting.

I didn't realize the Proline release was for the X-Maxx. Odd as you'd think the scaler market would be larger and therefore demand the Gladiator body first. I'm sure it's coming. I'm just not sure why anybody wants a Gladiator body. They aren't good lucking trucks even in person.

The Land Rover Defender wheelbase was 110", and the Jeep Gladiator is over 137".... That's what will make it nearly impossible to make a scale-accurate R/C body...

Is it really? I knew they looked long, but I didn't realize they were as long as boats. :ror: Soccer moms can't drive Wranglers that well so I can only imagine them trying to park Gladiators.

13.5" wheelbase for 1/10.... I built longer for a F650 @ 14.75" using a big Maxx body, and a custom flatbed. Rear links were stupid long and the turning Radius was huge. Curious how the Gladiator body measures out....

Pro-line isn't likely to release a body that doesn't fit any stock chassis. My pal Miatardo just jokingly suggested removing the second axle from a TRX-6...

Now, that might work...:lmao:

It's not like these guys aren't making crawler/scale bodies for other long wheelbase vehicles. There's no shortage of bodies based on full size pickups.

Especially without the stupid cab to bed wedge!

The odd thing is that Proline has made tons of pickup bodies for monster trucks over the years.

To be honest, I'm fine with the wedge on my bashers. A little black paint makes it disappear, and it helps a ton with durability.

Doesn't bother me at all on my Slash:

Agreed for bashing. But on scale bodies it's a total no-no IMO.

Imo I thought it would be a cool body. I never sat down and thought about the wheelbase. I think it would work out somehow. Still would love to have a body to put on a truck. If the timing was right I'd even take a real gladiator. It's one of thoses trucks you either love or hate. Its even on my list of trucks to consider buying in a few years.

I too have been expecting to see a JLU body, but it came out in 2018, and still nothing.

The Ramcharger came out in 1974 but the first body was released like 2 months ago. These things take time but I'm confident Proline will release a JL body within the next 40 years.

There was a Ram Charger available in 2010ish too
The difference is that a Ram Charger wasn't cool in '74 and it took 40 years to forget that it was bad, but now we can be reminded in 1:10 scale :ror:

There’s a guy selling 3D printed hardbodies and the gladiator is one of em. Search “1/9 Jeep Gladiator” on eBay. I personally would love the Nissan Pathfinder he sells but way too expensive for me.
