So I really need help and have no idea if it is just a screw up because I am totally inexperienced with RC's in general.

I had my deadbolt for about 6 months submerged it and burnt up the ESC... replaced it and all was good. Let my cousin drive it and he ran it into water again and the throttle was wide open no matter what I seemed to do.

so I got salty and sold it all for $75 bucks... 2 years ago.

I just bought it back and I am trying to diagnose the problem and think I have made some progress but now I am at a loss again.

I rebound the TX/RX and the stuck in full throttle went away, yay me "thumbsup"
The binding process seems to have gone exactly by the book, flashing light on AR-3 turn AX-3 on while holding in the bind button (with the bind jumper in) and the flashing stops...

Now it seems like I have no signal though  I can't get the servo or throttle to respond at all.

I don't think it is the ESC only because it is both the servo and ESC failing...

Could my receiver be bad?

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!!!!

More developments as I mess around.

The throttle channel "surges" doesn't matter if I put esc or servo in it does it. I plugged the ESC into the steering channel and was able to control the throttle through it so it seems to be a problem with just the throttle channel.

If that receiver also fell victim to being submerged then it's likely to have been damaged. If not you might have to try to rebind and calibrate again. I'm not an electronics afficianado but it you have an electrical device with a short (from previous water damage or whatever) it could potentially damage other electronics hooked up to it.

I went up to the local hobby store where I bought it new oh so long ago and he hooked it up to a different ESC (axial ae5) and it did the same thing.
Ordering a new receiver today... along with some other goodies "thumbsup""thumbsup"

so i got the new tx and rx... and it does the same thing! sidewinder esc and castle link on the way...:???::evil:
