I'm in the process of building a tuber.....or trying to anyways, lol. But I am trying to notch (fish mouth) the brakeline for cleaner and stronger corners. How do you guys get clean consistant fish mouths. I have a drill press, and a dremel, and havn't found a good way yet. Am i making it more complex than I need to maybe?

x4 on the chain saw file.just cut the tube a little longer than needed and file it to fit

I clamp it in the vise, start wit a triagular file to get the cut straight and then use a smooth rat tail file (round taper) or a chain saw file, with a bit of trial and error. I have a set of needle files like jewelers use most hardeware stores have 'em,to fine tune the fishmouth.

This is what I managed to make, primed 1st coat.

I have built two and about to start the third and I use a bench grinder. Use the edge of the stone, the right angle where the face and side of the wheels are, it has a small radias that is perfect for 3/16 tube and it takes about 5 seconds to do. It comes out super clean. I will try to get some pictures up to show more detail.
