hi i just got my hilux body and am 98% done with the bob in the back and im only 15 and i think it is very good quality but im have the wheel base issue i was told to run 91mm in the front and 98mm links in the back and im still a half an inch off in the back what do i run in the back i have a hand bros 3link with the cms in front and the geomitry is really good so not gonna change anything on the back. my real question is what size links do i run in the back with 91mm in the frontto fit the hilux wheel base. thanks

I'm running 106mm in the rear of my scaler. The honcho links are 98mm in the front and 106mm in the rear (I think?) and that puts the wheel base at 12.5. If your running 91mm & 98mm links your going to have a really short wheel base.

ok i have a hilux the stock honcho is 12.3in 313mm ok and the dingo is 11.4in 290mm i have a hilux that is a complete differnt body im askin what link set up do i need to runn in the back if i have 91mm links in the front with a handbros 3link w/cms

I dont have a hilux, but I am willing to try to figure this out for you. Are you 1/2 to short or to long?

I was gunna make a Man part joke, but saw that you were a "wee-wee" lad.

oops made one anyway.

Hate to bring back a dead thread but I have been doing a fair bit of looking and I'm struggling to find the info I'm after. I'm running a stock dingo length scx10 and fitting a hilux body to it. What I want to know is what length Ali links do I need to buy to get the wheel base right for tamiya hilux body? I know this has probably been asked a million times but I have searched and can't find what I'm after.
Thanks in advance.
Simon

Have a look 2 post's up:flipoff:

Yeah I saw that mate, what I'm unsure of is whether that is 91mm length link rods or 91mm between hole centers with rod ends screwed in? And I'm also wondering what the top link lengths should be?

I have worked it out. Using rc4wd bent axial width rod ends to get the wheel base bang on you need 73mm links. Front and rear. I decided just to use stock top links.

its 91mm both front and rear is 11.4'' short wheel base, 98mm front and 106mm rear, is the long wheelbase, i know this cause I just converted mine to run a honcho body. mine is a scx10 retro classic, the one with the old gmc truck body, and was a short wheel base, its not anymore

What is 91mm? read my hole question. I got the wheel base of the tamiya body. I measured the wheel base of the scx10 then I measured the links and the rod ends I'm using and worked it out from there. I don't know where 91mm comes into it? It depends on what rod ends your using does it not?

91mm lower links, using traxxas steel ball rod ends, that the guy owned the truck before put on, I changed my lowers in the front 98mm, in the rear to 106mm using the same rod ends, that made 12.3'' wheelbase in stead of 11.3'' it was when i got the truck.and yes different rod ends do change over all length.
