I would guess for racing a 4.75 would be better plus all my builds currently use 4.75 8)

no, I read the frick'n rule wrong...actually in one area it says that tires will be measured then later on it says that they'll only be measured if there are no specs available:evil:

I don't think there are any such rules in U4RC...just can't make mods other than siping and grooving

it's a screwed up rule because if you're running a factory spec 4.75 tire, you can fire it out to 5.0 with the right foams and still be golden. On the other hand, if you're running a factory spec 4.6 and fire it out to 4.8...you're out!

i got many of these, wherever the thing sat overnight.
and i got one of these, which was my spare.
im not at all complaining. tires were so sticky it would require a pretty good tug to get em broke loose!
ive never heard of that second thing. i think if its an obvious attempt to go over 4.75 people might say something, but i dont see an issue with juicing up a 4.6 to 4.75 (or around there) by using foams. i dont have near the experience others do tho so i may be ignorant to the issue.

How does 4.75 x 1.75 sound? Any thinner and it looks super odd with the 3D modeling software

I think that's a great size for strictly scale but since a lot of drivers are going to want to race them, 1.75 will corner a lot better (I think that folding would be an issue at high speeds with 1.5 @ 4.75)

Meh, 1.75 is same as a growler. Great tires, but too wide IMHO.
I guess it really depends on your target audience. There are a lot of really good scale 1.9" (SORRCA C2 sized) tires on the market already. But not a lot aimed at 1.9 U4RC. Scale is probably a lot bigger market right now though. I'd really like to see more C1 sized options, hence my KLR XS comment.
Honestly, at 4.5" it will be hard for me to move away from my Rock Beasts, @ 4.75 it is much more tempting, but for scale I rather see something narrower that 1.75.

1.65-1.75 would be fine, I'd still be in 100% at 1.65. Get the right foams in there and it would be fine.

Your original plan of 4.5 x 1.5 is a spot on great size IMO. I guess if you're looking for something else 4.65 x 1.5 would be cool. The MadBeast & Treps fall short in the traction dept. in that size.
A taller, wider tire than that wouldn't interest me at all but you need to make what will sell. "thumbsup"

I like my tires 4.19 or 4.75, the sizes in between just don't tickle my fancy that much.. I would love it to be tall and skinny rather than being fat. Just enough width so with the right foams the tire won't be folding underneath

I would start a poll, word it as to what size for u4 and what size for scale. Should give you a good idea on size and market.

BTW, thanks for clarifying your reasons and response to my questions on tire size as it applys to the rules"thumbsup"
I new that the SORCCA ruleset used manufacture specs and couldnt quite understand your foam resoning as applied to SORRCA. If you think about it, stuffing a tire that full of foam to increase the hieght significantly would result in a tire that would be so stiff it wouldnt work worth a darn from a traction stand point for crawling and on the flip side tuning your shocks to compensate for the stiffness of the tire at speed would be a pain also.
Besides that, the biggest tire isnt always the best choice IMO"thumbsup"
