Ottsix Voodoo KLR

I'm running silvers front/rear on the Wraith right now and they're working well, definitely stickier than my other tires I've tried so far. I'd like to try golds just in the front and leave the silvers in the rear to see if that makes a difference. I also have some silver 1.9s for the SCX10 but they're still untested.

Here's what my golds look like now, well broken in and nicely feathered. I run mine 'backwards' so the leading edges of the lugs are facing down in this photo.

Just picked up a full set of gold VooDoo KLR's and all I can say is "wow". Cleaned them things with foam oven cleaner and they are super sticky. If I can get the ingredients to the rubber and make Table Tennis rubber sheets out of them, I think I can win the world's championship.

However, when I mounted these to the Vanquish 1.9 Method rims I have a 1-2mm gap all around between the ring and the tire lip. Searching for photos in this thread I realize people who are using the Vanquish rims are having the same issues. The KLR's are moulded a tab too big for these rims. I don't think it would affect performance too much but I was hoping for a perfect fit. I'm currently using:

Vanquish 1.9 Methods, VooDoo KLR 1.9 Gold and Crawler Innovations Race Comp 1.9 inserts for 4.75" tires.

Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

My 1.9 KLRs do the same on some SSD wheels, there is like a 1mm gap around the beadlock ring area. No effect that I've noticed from it though.
