Paint splatter effect

Try a toothbrush and some fine screening.

Rub the brush across the screening in a side to motion and it helps get a finer pattern.

Practice on some scrap until you're comfortable with the technique."thumbsup"

I don't know about spray paint, but I have a few different techniques listed here.

Do you mention what paint you use? I'll check out what will work for me

I actually drag my fingers across the bristles to get the excess water off when I'm done brushing. That might work also. Thanks

I use various size zipties to get my splatter. But the screen would be a finer pattern.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried this paint before? Adhesion might be an issue, but I like changing out panels often anyway. I might have to grab some to try it.

Not that particular one, but Colpar Hobbies has some basically the same thing. The stuff Colpar has is in the smaller cans and is found in the gaming section. The texture comes from small pieces of styrene if I am not mistaken, at least in the Colpar stuff. I have used it on hardbody beds to get the rhino liner look.

I actually picked up this "bed liner" in a can type deal at Pep Boys for my bedsides. However, I made them out of fiberglass, so not sure if it's work on lexan, but the texture is pretty scale looking I think

I don't have a good close up of it though
