Does anyone know what cal a Tippmann 98 custom is
And do you know if or what pepper balls. Will work in it for home defense

All paint ball markers are usually 68 or 69 caliber. As far as pepper balls where would you get them?

I can have it shoot a bean bag with a back up ..then the second shot will count with a 3" slug to the chest or wherever it hits

Not to sound cold, but you're better off killing them. Dead people can't sue you. A cop told me that years ago. But on a side note midway USA, and cheapammo.com both sell bean bag rounds in 8 or 10 round boxes. You might also check bulkammo.com

Check Galls and Cheaperthandirt.com...but I recommend your second round being 000 buck shot! That will cover any minor inaccuracy from adrenaline or nerves...simply point in the general direction and hit everything from head to toe

.68 Cal is the standard size of paintball. There is. 50 Cal as well but it is not very popular, and Tippmann once made a .60cal paintball gun way back in the day bit it is extremely hard to get paint for it.

Pepper balls are. 68cal, they are very hard to find but not impossible, I found them once but it was a long time ago. Another thing to look into may be Reballs, they are solid rubber/foam balls that are technically .67 Cal but will fire fine from a .68 just if you don't want roll outs or ideal consistency and accuracy. If you want to shoot reballs well you will need a barrel kit and a .670 or smaller insert.
