Well I got these tires through http://www.brianshobbyland.net/ and would like to thank him for the tires! check his store out"thumbsup"

Now I have never did this so any tips suggestions or advise would be great I figured this would be a good thread for us newbies that are too chicken sh%t...uh like me...to try this:)

This will take me a few days to complete cuz I gotta work around the kids, wife and the real job! so this is what I got so far.

oh here's a link to some research I did on this before I got started.

I practiced on a axial lizard before I gutted the cobras"thumbsup"

First I took care of the width of the cobra but cutting out a 1/2 inch out of the center of the tire and glued the 2 halfs back together.

HA I haven't even got one done yet! I still need to reduce it to 1.9! but thanks!

Great job so far. Subscribed! I'm anxious to see how these come out. I've always liked the looks of these. I took your advice about the stock foam with the memory foam in the chisels for the rear and love it, so I can 't wait to see what you think about the cobras when you get them done and tested. I may get brave one day and try this...I keep hoping if i wait long enough, the company will offer them in 1.9"thumbsup"

the link to brians does not work for me???

Huh, I guess your right. I tried to find a better link but something must be wrong out there in internet land but he is known here as " the parts guy " so I'll shoot him a pm and see if he can post a better link"thumbsup"

Well i managed to get 1 tire done and mounted up on a rim I'm useing my Axial 1.9 rims and have stuffed a losi memory foam in for support. I must say I was nervous to cut up a tire and put it back together but to my suprise it was kinda easy:shock: I guess just take your time measure twice and make your cut:mrgreen:

Make sure when you make the cut to reduce to 1.9 cut where you wont cut through the logo on the tire. Here's the pictures on my very fist cut and shut cobra!

Here's some comparison shots of the cut cobras and the proline brothers!

As you can see the cobras are just a tad taller then the chisel. I was shocked I thought they would be a good middle between the two. but now It's time to finish glue and finish the rest so I can go test what is allready a great tire!

Gotta give thanks to Joe Bruiser and Kamikaze for comeing up with this idea with the cobras! Not sure who did it 1st but glad they did!

I talked with Brian and Brian's Hobby land and he's in the process of building a new web site so it will be down for a little while. But you can PM him here his name is "The Parts Guy".

Got all 4 tires done now waiting on the glue to dry so I can mount them up and get them on the rocks"thumbsup"

Very Nice!"thumbsup" Are those MLST2 shocks as well? Looking to get new shocks myself - how do you like those?

Looks great, let us know how the testing goes:)

I think that you have your shoes on backwards. Let us know how they work mounted that way. I have mine mounted opposite and I really like them."thumbsup"

I'm running the stock MLST2 shocks and I bought the white soft springs. very happy with them. I'm gonna try running the cobras both ways and if your wondering I have the Losi memory foams in for support!

Any updates on how the Cobras are working?

Soundcolor and I are headed out in the morning to run them a local hot spot and I'll post up what we think hopefully that night....if the wife will let around the computer:shock: I'm stoked and can't wait ...I will tell you this I have a test spot at my house and this spot my chisels...very hard to climb....my Butchered Flat Irons...they could do it every now and then...my Cobras.....3 out of 5:shock:"thumbsup"
