I'm trying to determine the best center 'transmission' output parts & diff input parts to use in order to use steel Pede yokes & Pede shafts on them? Which parts/method discussed in this this forum would you say shakes out to be the preferred parts/method? (The most straight forward and strongest way to go?)

Thanks.

If I remember right, OG used diff outdrives designed for the Stealth tranny that had 5mm outputs. But those are not made anymore as far as I know. I would try these:

The Axial tranny is almost identical to a Stealth tranny, so the holes should line up on the spur like the stealth locker did on OG's. Then get yourself two sets of these:

You need two sets because one of the input shafts is hollow, so you can't file a flat spot on it without seriously weakening it.

That's why I use Maxx shafts. The install quite as clean looking, but it's easier, cheaper and just as strong.

I was bored today and put this 'how to' together.

I think I made reference to the hollow input shaft mentioned above though...:?: I wasn't sure about the axle end of things for I have Axial axles connected to the PTI transmission. So sorry about that if it is.

Nice How-To, so easy a caveman could do it!

I was going to try adapting Axial outdrives when I originally did mine with a Taylor Hobbies Stealth locker, but I didn't have any at the time. But I see it works just the same. Nice job S_C_I_P_I_O79"thumbsup"

Great " How To " thanks , Now what about on the diff end , what's a guy to do there ?

For pede shafts, the easiest thing to do is this:

But it shows in the video how to use the TC3 input shafts.

If one is to use Tmaxx shafts, which parts should one use?

These are the parts you need for a Maxx Shaft conversion:

You'll have to drill the yokes out to fit over the ball on the input shaft and then use fuel tubing or similar inside the ball to take up some slack where the crosspin goes through. Then you'll have something that looks similar to this:

It will wobble a little, but it doesn't hurt performance any.
