I have run both my supers and 2.2s in the creekbed and it is pretty much impossible without a helping hand here and there. It sure is fun trying though.
The pictures don't really do it justice.....I agree it looks somewhat easy. It's kinda like when I take my CJ7 on the Rubicon Trail and get to a tough spot where the CJ is almost ready to flop (or it feels like it anyway). I have someone take a picture and look at it later and it looks like a dirt road. I have noticed that the pictures are really deceiving.
One thing that makes the falls tough are flagstone ledges that suck in the tires, especially the 2.2 size but even the 40 series moabs. I need about a 10" tall tire.
Yeah, that's it. The flagstone ledges hang over so the water falls instead of just streaming down. It's for effect....visual and sound. The only way to make it is to climb the walls and run the edges and then drop back down here and there. I think the ideal rig would be a 14 incher with 6 inch tires and 4WS. What the heck, I may have to convert one of my supers. You know, I have a 17" NN that is very easy to shorten to about 14 or 14.5". Anyway, it's better to have rocks that are too hard rather than too easy.
