That stupid virus where it downloads a anti spyware program and locks you out of all your spyware programs and is a PITA to remove. Just got it from Photobucket, its downloaded through a script on the page, and if your spyware/malware programs aren't on and up to date its a real bastard. This thing really likes win XP machines too, as it doesn't ever seem to get any of my other computers that are win7

Which one did you get? I got the Green AV one a few months ago then I got hit with the Anti virus Pro one a couple weeks ago. That one would not let me into anything period. Could not even do Safe mode. It disabled task Manager and everything. Ended up bringing it to my local guy. He removed the hd from my laptop and stuck it in some type of dock hooked to his PC and cleaned it, then had to go through and do some other stuff with the HD installed. Ended up dumping the whole system and doing a reload.

Now running Malaware Anti Malabites daily and staying away from peoples pictures etc.

With the crap that I had, I could not download Malabites as the crap on my system would not let it download the important file that was needed.

Oh well, 125 dollars later and my laptop is back and working as good as day one.

Always keep a copy of Malware Anti-Bytes installed, helps when you need to use it.

Many of these do disable the AV and anti-spyware programs to get in. I've seen some go as deep as being installed as drivers into the system to hide under everything and out of the AV programs way.

These are NOT trtue viruses but malware. then they suck you into buying. Here's the best tip...don't click everything that opens. You should know if you have an AV or not...don't let a Internet window tell you that.

I have malware bytes and avg neither would touch it, I had to use spywaredoctor in safe mode

I tried that one also. It was suggested when I typed in how to get rid of avpro. spydoctor is another hack job as far as I am concerned. It slowed my system down about as much as the other crap.
