The thing is I have my tz v2.5 with an 88 spour (48p)

I bought a castle slate 1900kv and the 18t pinion doesn’t provide enough wheelsoeed.

The motor mount will not allow me to grow too much in the pinion gear.

I also have a 3800kv slate that es too fast and I would need a really small pinion for it to work with torque and wheelspeed. (Also it has 5mm shaft which madres it harder to find small pinions.

And finally I have a 2200kv puller pro stubby.

My mind is blowing up ando Indint want to spend a cent until I really know what to do.

PLEASE HELP!

First off the Esc is most important.
I run everything from that 1900 slate to a 3500 PullerPro. Different batteries give different responses, the slate and 2200 stubby rock on 4s, the 3800 will be almost right for 2s.
So what esc are we talking about?

I run a Mamba X in that rig. All my batteries are 3s. I have 3 spektrum 2200 mah 30c and 2 protek 4100mah 120c.

Look up John Holmes video on setting io a crawler esc curve. You should be able to creep that 1900 or 2200 on 3s with a throttle curve.

Great feedback Mike.

Mr. Crawley, you might be able to get to a better ratio if you were willing to go 32p with the spur and pinion. Not sure what your overall gearing or final drive is, but a good rule of thumb for pinion / spur is anywhere from 5.0:1.0 to 6.2:1:0. For example, a 32p 57t spur with a 32p 10t pinion would yield you a 5.7:1.0 spur/pinion ratio.
