Long story short, I went backwards when it comes to RC flight. I started out with CP helis, then multi rotors, and I'm just now getting into planes. Bass ackwards, typical me. :lmao:

I've had a few of the little UMX planes, but struggled with them as they were long before AS3X stabilization came about, and the wind blows constantly here. So this year, I decided (after flying some friends planes) that I wanted a bigger plane of my own. I decided based on the places I plan to fly, that a bush plane would suit me well, and decided on a Parkzone Sport Cub. I haven't flown a plane in three years, but I maidened it last Sunday, and brough her home in one piece. I have the PNP version, so no AS3X on this bird either, and honestly I don't feel it needs it. I just joined the local RC aircraft club yesterday also, can't wait for Saturday morning!

This is my new bird, 51" span, 5 channel with flaps. She's getting a 30a ESC and 10x7 prop tomorrow, should give it a lot more punch for acrobatics.

And here's my maiden flight, bit too much rudder on take off, and almost tip stalled it once. But it all ended OK.

I used to take great pleasure in flying above trees facing a headwind and just sitting in one spot.

I've got an FMS 1280 Easytrainer that doesn't me to fly it. I've also got a GWS P40 kit that's waiting to get put together with some goodies. Scored a box of parts from eBay with assorted servos, a 30amp and a 50amp esc, a 3s LiPo, and a motor with a bent shaft.

But now I'm wanting a RealFlight sim and a small to medium bush plane.

Just my Skywalker 1900. This is the only picture I have of it was right before LOS maiden, the only time I've ever flown it LOS in fact, it's been all FPV ever since.

Nice setup! I do FPV quads, and I fully plan to do an FPV plane this year once my busy season at work slows down in May. Looking at something just a bit smaller, as I have areas I want to hike in and fly from.

Awesome. I also do FPV quads, well quad anyway. I recently sold all my quads except for my Discovery Pro since that's the only one I really ever fly.

Cheese n rice Stang, you have 25 planes?

Makes me feel a little better about all this RC shite just sitting here.

FPV from one of those beautiful mountain areas, hpiguy, would be so freaking sweet, I'm almost jealous. Just the thought of being way up there, then flying way up there makes me smile. A little.

Cory, that's a helluva collection, and really nice flying BTW!

Thanks EeePee, the majority of the time I consider myself really fortunate to be able to make a living and live here. Once I get an FPV plane, I'll take more risks with my FPV flying since the amount of money on the line is drastically reduced compared to a quad. I have some sights planned that should make for some fantastic video on a nice cool morning before the haze starts to obscure things.

heres the only footage I ever took of my 3dhs 70" Slick (still have and fly)
ive gotten a lot better since then, but this vid was cool because it was the first time I ever attempted a pop top and got it first try and on film. so its cool to me.

Never seen a water quad before, very, very cool. I've thought about coating all my electronics and doing that very thing. Nice 3D flight on the plane also, I'm more like 2.5D.
