I was looking at my rear axle in my Crawler this evening and thought about the wall anchors I have sitting in the garage in my tool box. Cool thing was the axle will slide into the wall anchor.

Here is a pic of the wall anchors (plastic tub) the cut version (see steps below) and the axle.

1. I used the dremel tool and cut off @ 1/4 " of the wall anchor from the head

2. I trimmed down the outer edges of the head so it was a tight fit inside of the connector

3. I used a Philip's head screwdriver and threaded it into the connector for fitment

4. I pulled it back out and did some minor grinding inside the plastic connector

5. Put some j.b.weld inside the connector and then screwed the wall anchor head into the connector.

6. Let it sit and harden and wallah.

How long have you been using, I just ground a good criss cross pattern into my connectors and then Cold Welded it into place, I broke it out once already, but haven't broke it again.

I was thinking of maybe drilling a couple holes into mine and then running some screws to the criss cross portion of the axle and see how that holds up. If they do break it would be a quick fix to drive a couple screws in, instead of waiting a day for it set back up again.
