Hey everyone.

I am a plumber and I use a acetylene tank for soldering copper pipes with 95/5 solder but was wondering can I use a acetylene torch for brazing 3/16 steel tube with silver solder. This is all new to me.

Thank's

I use the same set-up as you and it works quite well. I'm not a plumber, but I learned to silver solder on copper pipes years ago and it carried over into making silver jewlery and now building scale crawlers. Have used the same set-up with all. You will have more than enough heat and control. You can check out some of my builds on here."thumbsup"

Yep, as a ex pipefitter myself it was a super easy transition to building toy trucks.... It all about heat control, no problem for a experienced plumber.

I use several torches depending on my needs, oxy/acetylene, map and a micro torch.
