possible 1/24 gears for axles

I wasn't sure where to post this, so....
I was "disassembling" my POS CD drive and stopped when I removed (ripped) the linear drive unit off. I sat there and thought, man these would make a great ring and pinion for some small axles. Anyway here they are.

i think the big gear might be alill to big for 1/24.. but i dont see why you couldnt find on alil smaller to use with the smaller gear
