So when I first saw this cab my imagination was running wild. So here we are. Just going to be a fun build. This is an old Tonka fire Truck. I love the shape of it.

How I got it on the chassis:

Tough to cut a vintage Tonka...but the approach angle sucked.
I will round out the fenders more but I didn't want to go to far...slowly I will make perfect. The body is steel which should make for good fun.

Build looks good, I have to agree that body has a tough look to it. What lower links are you running in the rear?

Thanks I can't wait to tackle the front skid with steel. As far as the links I they are rc4wd hardcore slash links or something. They are pretty clean units. Ty

make this think into what i didnt have time to! ill be watching!

I will do my best, I dont have the time either but I had to snatch this up just to see it in person. I dig it for sure."thumbsup"

I'm a firefighter and I have to say, I'd love to have a 1/1 scale version of this to play with.
That would be very cool indeed.

Look like vanquish twin hammers

They are similar in deisgn but the RC4WD models are longer and for once much nicer quality.

lol so much for "getting out" i thought you sold everything and taking a break? :D
very cool body.
Digging the murdered RGs. i need to pick up some of those black bolts.

you gonna do the nose military style?

I think I may keep the fire theme....something very different for me but this paint is really old and really really thick"thumbsup"

I never said I was getting out......but I did sell about half of my collection off to get started in this new jobby job. I was unemployed for about 4 months and it def put a financial hurting on me and the family, where the hobby got taxed. Just stuff but this is still my happy addiction.

Your RGs do look amazing with the black hardware, esp with the VP brake discs!

Hey bud,
Now don't take this the wrong way. Yr my boy & I might hear it, but I don't buy it. I think the cab is cortoonish, somethin U might see in cars 3? My lit boy's digg'n it tho..Wheels & tires R badd ass...Maybe early Oct..

Sweet the fire truck looks good is it going to be a jumper with those long arms in the back .is that a chinese jeep body in the background lol . Im building one of those right now in the 1.9 section. Rock on with the build

got kind of a mog-ish look to it... like you said with the proper stuff this could be really cool! whats the weight on the cab?
