Project: House (Coffee Table, TV Mount, Picture Frames, etc)

Harley, I dig it!, Industrial look is sweet!

"thumbsup"

with some minor modification, you could use the pistons to support the glass top.

Thats the plan because I have them already. I was planning on some 0.5" plexi that bolted to the front and back of the motor and that is what I'll do if I don't like how the pistons look. Hoping to have it all mocked up tonight with them.

That lamp is a piece of art. "thumbsup"

Thanks man, I completely agree. Her dad did an awesome job on it.

This lamp is sweet too....

Kinda pricey though. You could make your own version of it very easily.

I just took a pair of those shocks off a CB750 project bike I'm working on :ror: Thats a pretty sweet looking lamp.

What can't you do Harley, now you adding interior decorator to your resume, cool stuff.

:ror: It's an odd addition next to the others but I'll wear the hat for now. I'm digging owning a house for sure.

Idea: Take pistons and have them Tig'd rod end to rod end. have 1 end in the block upside down and the other right side up supporting the glass"thumbsup"

for an end table you could use a johnson V4 outboard block. They are about the perfect size and weigh/cost next to nothing.

Actually, I have an old 85hp thats no good...

I love furniture like that!! I've wanted to do something like that for a while now.

Can't wait to see the rest of it!

Check out google.com. Great image searching website.

Awesome table.

Many years ago, a buddy and I made a table lamp out of a John Deere model D piston/rod assembly. The piston is about 6" in diameter, and the rod is about 18" long. The wrist pin was pressure fed, so we ran the wire through the oil gallery. Turned out sweet.

my spare is 120miles away... Ill snap a pic of the running one in teh drive tomorrow. That pic is of a more modern one, the old ones are much more automotive looking.
