Project: Land Rover LR3 on 1.9's Mud slingers (used to be 1:12 silverado)

I've been followin your rig progression, an by god its a gorgeous one I mite add;-)

Just a quick question;

I wanna run my stock RTR wheels on my Axial, But I wanna get mudslingers for it, Would 1.9's fit the stock RTR wheels?

Or should I get a pair of MRC wheels an put the slingers on it?
(The MRC wheels are 1.9's)

I'm just not sure cause I wanna build a scaler, but I dont like how freakin tall my stock RTR wheels an tires are, an I wanna put a set of smaller wheels & tires on it.

Would the wheel hex fit the MRC wheels? or do I need to buy a different set of wheels to put on it so they fit the Stock RTR wheel hexs?

I like the bead lock wheels though cause I can just buy tires an swap them out;

I have a thread of my truck under the AX10 section

Just search it an put in "Heres My Ax10"
Or vist my profile an view my posts "thumbsup"

Help would be great; Thank you

well the 1.9 mudslingers are one of the smallest 1.9 off road tires.
they work good for some trucks and some people. but others they look to small.
so it depends on what body you want to use,.
check RC4wd.com and look at the tires size info in the specs before you buy a tire.

also the MRC rim is 1.9 yes so any 1.9 tire should fit just right.
but the AX10 RTR rims and tires are 2.2 so no they will not work.

I am heading over to your thread now to take a look at what you got going on.
"thumbsup"

that looks great!!

thanks dude!

i like the mud above line not recomended sticker! lol
any progress lately???????????????????????????????
did ya get started on the cool exo-cage fenders/bumpers??????
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I did some hunting around in my garage, an I got a hpi mt2 that has the stock Yokohama Geolanders in the rims, so I took on fo the tires off the rim an I installed them on my RTR beadlock, God damn do they look good!;-) Worst part ; There bald:x So I'm lookin in gettin a Xtrail from TCS an gettin a 08 F-250 body from proline along with the scale stuff they got, I'm hopin on gettin the rack, cooler/winch/gas can, an the shovel/axe/jack set; along with some new geolanders, plannin on making a black body, but I'm not sure on weather of not I should do silver an black? I think black would look cool cause I've got green links, chrome wheels, an gun metal/black beadlock rings that are stock RTR rings.. I'm just stuck at the paint scheme part.. :-( Everything I own is Blue & Black... So I think I'm going to go with the silver anb black.. or just go straight black an save the hassle "thumbsup"

It'll look sick when done, Also planning on making some scale bungee cords thanks to you"thumbsup"

and looks amazing.!

Shipment of 1/10 scale tamiya Scale snowboard came in haha.

So I put in my order with TCS & Tower,

Ordered the Xtrail an Hardware kit,
Then ordered a 08 f250 proline body with Hpi Geolanders from tower.. I didnt really need the scale stuff, cause I buy that later.. So All my stuff should be here by next tuesday.. I'm not sure on how to mount the eletronics on the xtrail, but I'll find out somewhat to mount them. Lol. I'm planning on doing an all silver body then doing the fender flares, etc black.. but idk yet,, I mite just do an all black body with a big Axial logo on the side of it sorta sideways.. I'
m not sure yet.. I'm excited to transform RTR :) I'll be sure to post pics"thumbsup"

WOW!

This build has my intrigued, I just read the 7 pages and you do some amazing work! Very nice! I want to see the smoke kit work at idle, that is a nice touch. "thumbsup"

well guys I finally got my scale Shocks mounted.

I purchased the Soft springs for the shocks from RC4WD but they are defective and they are sending out some new ones to me soon.
so in the mean time i went to ACE hardware and found some that work pretty good.

I decided to go with the trailmaster shocks because I see so many Rancho shocks I thought it would be different. 8) (also you may have noticed I was going that way because of the stickers on the body hehe)

nice build, i saw earlier in your build you were asking about 1:10 atv's, i have found that the 1:18 trucks are about the right size to make a side by side atv, i am looking into turning my propulse t100 into a side by side, i have a body and i am trying to figure out how best to use the truck and chassis. something you could look into as well.

Your rover is pretty much the sickest ride on here "thumbsup"

 thanks man!
I would not go that far though. haha There are a ton more rigs on here that I think are wayyyy sicker than my lil LR3.
I wanted at one point to build a lot of RC scalers. so i started buying up other RC stuff to do so.
but i was not even done with this one yet. lol
so I sold all that stuff and am concentrating on finishing this one.
but once done i am thinking I will start a new one and try to make it have an interior because that is the sickest IMO.

but this truck is what it is.
it has a smoker which is very unique and was a huge pain in the A$$ to get working right.
also all the LED's being controlled from the remote is pretty awesome.
so thanks for the comment "thumbsup"
and my next build I will try to make it even sicker.! haha
I will go for the super sick look.

Thanks man.
The shocks are 100mm Scale white RC4WD shocks with internal springs.
The springs they came with where way to stiff. so I purchased from them a 50% softer spring.
But thos springs where to fat and scraped the whole way up and down onthe inside of the shock body and caused the shocks to bind.
so when i mentioned this to them they told me this was a problem and to contact them monday.
so I am still waiting on that.
so in the mean time I tossed out the super stiff shocks and got some softer ones from hardware store.
they squish down when sitting there and droop out as well

as for the outdoor shots haha. i know.
I need to finish wireing my body,
i have been slacking sorry :(
life has been busy. lol

I do not know what you are trying to say?

My truck is 1/10th scale.
I am looking for a Atv that is 1:10th scale.
I see a lot of 1:12th scale.

also I am not talking about 1:10th scale RC atv those are huge. I am talking about metal die cast ones or model ones.

what are you thinking/talking about?
can you explain to me more I do not understand what your saying.

thanks guys.

in size, most 1:18 trucks would work as a 1:10 scale side by side atv if you can find a body for it. the only real problem with them i am having is finding a body.the rc 18t, 18mt propulse t100 i am just recommend an option to build yourself one.

ok thanks i understand what your saying now.
Use a smaller RC base and make my own body or find a ATV body for it.

well thats a little more than i want to do but thanks.

I am looking for a toy ATV or Snowmobile in 1:10th scale.
not a RC.

I found a Bike i have for my roof rack that is 1:10th scale.
now i just want a Snowmobile and ATV or Dirtbike.

I guess I could get a motorcycle or chopper as well.
I have seen those all over the place.

thanks for the input. "thumbsup"

Hello
Incase some of you maybe wondering why it is taking so long to wire all this stuff up. :?:
there is just so much wireing involved its taking a long time.

but I am happy to report that all the LED's are fully installed now ( aimed and glued in place) Now I just have to wire a harness and make it all neat on the body side connectors.

Due to this fact I only was able to get half my LED lights working :-(
No Head lights (low beam)

I am going insane and getting very mad. :-(

But you can see below some progress i have made wiring.
It is done.

I do not care if I have to sell my DX6 and buy a 6 channel that the 3 racing LED kit will work with.
does any one know why it will not work?

I am running

Castle Creation Sidewinder
Castle Creation BEC
11.1v Lipo
Spektrum DX6
BR6000

I read this on the 3racing website.
do you know what it means?

Frequently Asked Question of 3RAC-LEDS
Does this System fit for my car?
This system is only effected by the transmitter. It is suitable for the transmitter which band width between 5 to 20 ms.

What is the spektrum band width?

Hehe, I finally got my X-trail chassis last night! it litterally took me all night to install it on my AX10 an get it converted, not to mention I had to do some "custom" mounting an modifying ;-) My tower order should be here today when I get home (i'm only on cause I'm at school on our Apple Mac's"thumbsup") Lol. Wel All my stuff should be at my house when I get home, I got an 08 Ford F-250 body an some Geolander treads8) I came up with a really cool paint scheme! its going to be a sick body when painted an when I scale I out :) I'll be sure to post pics so you can you can see, cause I know you've been wanting to8)"thumbsup"
