I have a new Proline 1980 Chevy pickup body on the way. I was wondering if the grill portion from either the Vaterra Blazer or RC4WD Blazer would be the correct size to fit this body? Would be nice to add some better detail than just the molded front with the decals. I even found a place selling custom Clod grills, but I think those would be too narrow.

The Proline body is really narrow. You'd likely have to cut a section out of either grill, but I can't say for sure. I highly doubt it'd be a direct fit.

Yes Proline body is really narrow, Vaterra Blazer grill would need sectioned to narrow it up, not sure about the height. RC4WD Blazer is more likely to fit, but I don't have one to measure.

I looked on Google last night and found some threads about people using the Vaterra grill in place of the RC4WD grill stating they are pretty much the same size, just different mounting. I might look into a custom clod grill and try to find measurements on that. I found a place with them for $20 each, so it might be an option.

the clod grill is a pretty good fit, even though its technically wrong for the front fender shape. I have used it a couple times...
