I know the r35 are on backorder but the prolines are out. I never ran the stock tires so what are your thoughts on that tire? Then I know the r35 will be that much better. Or has anyone ran the proline with the shorter bigger lugs?

I actually like the S30 compound KR2s, they don't feel hard and cheap like other RTR tires. I feel like with the wheel speed this truck is built for, a little harder tire will be fine otherwise stickys will get torn up easily. I bought some R35 Treps though, I'll see how long they last doing burnouts on everything :lmao:

I'm running a pro4 hd 3000kv on 4s and a 2 speed. I have growlers on it now but just fell I love with the bfg's. The stock ones have big beads and were a mess with my vp methods.

I popped stock ones off stock wheel no problem. Put a ci foam in it and on a 6 bolt it goes. Seems like it's going to do well

How did you get the tires off? Mine seem like they might rip....this is my first RC and not sure if I want to bake the wheels in the oven like I saw on youtube.

Bake them, Oven to 350, once up to temp turn off oven. Put tires in, 7 mins pull out, break bead, flip, put back in for 10 mins. Pull out, remove tire. "thumbsup"

I removed my tires from the stock rims by using a hobbico monokote air blower. Be sure to wear gloves and focus heat on the rim to tire glue bond in a circular motion. 7 to 8 minutes per side and squeeze the tire. If it doesn't release add more heat for a longer time. I found that this was such a great tire after mounting them to VP SLW V2 rims. I couldn't use the oven as the wife was baking cookies.

If you don't want the smell of burnt rubber floating around your house, don't put them in the oven. Boil them off, bring the water to a boil then place the tires in for about 15 minutes or so. Remove them and maker sure you wear gloves, they are hot! Depress the bead off the rim and put them back in on the opposite side and repeat. Make sure you let the foams dry out over night before using them. Basically your using heat to break down the CA from the glue. I remove all my glued tires this way and have had good success. Good luck. "thumbsup"[/I]

Im currently running the pro lines. Compared to the 2.2 krawlers and stock tires, id recommend waiting for the r35 kr2. I like the proline compound, however, i dont like the tread pattern. Axials just seem to grab more due to the smaller, deeper lugs.
