Have been using the pro specs for a few months strictly for crawling. Stock they seem a bit stiff. What are you guys having luck with as far as oil wt and springs?

not sure about the pro spec but I run the powerstroke slash rears the front an dback of my bomber.
I bought the spring kit and run softer up front and stock or stiffer set in the rear, because of the rear trailing arm geometry, the heavier springs work well since the rear axle is so far out behind where the springs attach, there is more leverage on them.

The Pro-SPec springs are 2.4lb/" which is more like a SCT rate than a crawler.
TA 12mm springs fit the Pro-Spec shocks & come in rates right down to 1.9lb/"

I seriously love my Pro-Specs. So smooth and have not leaked like my P-L Scalers and Axial shocks on other rigs.

I picked up Pro-Line's Pro-Spec spring kit which is 6308-22. The springs in this kit go from 2.0lbs to 2.8lbs. I am running the Blue (softest) 2.0 springs in the front shocks with 30wt oil. and the Red (second to most firm) 2.6 springs in the rear with 40 weight oil. My Bomber has several modifications including shorter Wraith length trailing arms and VP Currie Anti-Rock sway bar which make it react a bit different than stock. After playing with many springs and oil weights, this is the combination that seems to get the best results for my rig based on where and how I crawl with it.

For reference, I built and play with this Bomber for crawling. It is not fast and not used as a rock racer or U4.
