Proportional drag brake???

I am wondering if there is such a thing as proportional drag brake.
Let me explain what I mean..
Say you have your ESC set to have a strong drag brake. 100% drag brake for instance.
With a fast brushed or brushless motor speeds of 15mph are not out of the question..

Here comes the question, is there a way to not lock up the wheels at speed when the throttle senses neutral? Thus the proportional part.
The ESC knows how fast the motor is rotating. ?
Why can't we set a drag brake curve?
At a certain rpm drag brake is 10% to save our drive train but still slow us. And gets even stronger as the rpm decreases. Under a certain rpm we have full drag brake.
If this exists please let me know.
Those of more intelligence and know how please give your input!

Interested in this myself. I've hooked my tekin up so many times that I wore the harness out.

I think your on to something... If I set the brake very high on the mmp in my wraith it will flip over the front! I think I have it at 50-55% just so it doesn't flip letting off at speed but will still kind of hold in inclines... Wish I could set it higher for crawling though

We tried implementing this with throttle damping, but it didn't quite do the job. We still have it on the table.

John I think I remember you talking about programing to keep the drag brake on during low throttle to help prevent the brushless "roll away" on down hill start ups. Has anything happened with that?

I run the drag brake on full and if I let off it'll do the typical forward flip. I have just learned to let off the throttle in quick pulses like hillbilly ABS.

I knew I wasn't the only one who thought this. I also assumed it was more difficult than it seemed. Or it would have been implemented.

For now we all get the entertainment of front flips when we let our trigger finger slip.

Maybe I'm totally bass-akwards but what I have done is keep the drag brake setting higher (90ish%) but decrease the brake force some (90ish% also). Maybe I'm just being easier on the off throttle but it seems to help with the initial lock up.
