puppy + chargers plug = ?

so my dog chewed the plug off of my charger, does it matter wich way its reconnecteD?

edit: this is the plug going to the outlet on the wall just dont want to start a fire or anything

If it's the plug going to the wall, maybe not.
If it's the plug going to the batt... HELL YES, BUT PUT THAT DOWN, you have no clue of what you are doing and I don't especially want to read your obituary next week. So either find someone with a clue to do or teach you in situ or buy another charger and/or dog.

well, for power supply, it doesn't matter how you connect, but you need to make sure the you connect the battery wire correctly.
if you are confused, try google a pic of your charger, and look which wire is connected which way, by looking at the battery plug n wire.

Seconded. Alternative current... polarity change at a rate between 50 and 60 hz. Hope the dog is fine (mean that the thingy was not pllugged when chewed).

Electric section of any hardware store, bring the damaged part with you, at worse ask a storeclerc for the closest replacement part available.

Sometimes the cables has a white stripe down one of the wires, if so, just match the white stripes up.

If the charger has an on/off switch, it's slightly safer to match the wires the way they were. Makes no difference to the operation of the charger, though.

If the charger is on all the time that it is plugged in, it makes no difference at all.
