who cares if they want in the Boy Scouts... not a big deal man.

I do find it interesting that they want to be part of the church though... considering all the church has done to gays.
It's kinda like a non-white wanting to join the kkk

Its not that, its the fact that the are being punished for what they believe in and being forced to believe what others tell them!

Not everybody takes everything the church says to heart. There are two different gay couples that live in my neighborhood.....both are religious (I presume since I have seen a cross hanging in their houses).
 
This is the same state that wants to give gay couples medical coverage for infertility after a year of "trying to conceive" and being unsuccessful.

Really? Gay couples can't conceive children? :shock:

They should be allowed to put a sign on their door similar to "no shirt, no shoes, no service"............"like penis, light loafers, no service"
 
How is it any more BS that someone being excluded from something simply because of a sexual preference? Its no better than racism really. Like saying black boys cant join for some absurd reason.


Now if I were gay, and wanted to join scouts.... but none of em wanted to let me in, I might think twice for safety.... But I would still be pissed I cant join.

Well since we (the US) cater to everyone its no suprise. I say let them start the gay scout club. Thats what americas all about, individuallism. You want to be different fine, go start your own thing.

Im open minded as the next guy but no need to infringe on those who ARENT GAY.
 
That's segregation... and they are not infringing on anyone's rights.
It's not like they are saying all Scouts have to be gay.
 
No ones asking them to be gay, or partake in anything gay. Just to be able to have the same opportunity as their peers. Im sure every gay kid has some amount of difficulty... Denying them any amount of normalcy isnt cool in my mind.

Theres a difference in being out in public and trying to get into a organized club/group. Whats next, a bunch of alcoholics wanting to get wasted at an AA meeting?

No not really. People who want to be different than "the norm" seem to be constantly trying to infringe on those who are. I say live and let be. BUT, that goes for the "norm" people to. If they want to be left alone let them. You are free to do your own thing.

The analogy of a black person wanting to join the KKK, or on the flip side a white person wanting to join the black panthers is spot on.
