Dad and I both tried the Grex Tritium paint gun style air brush at I-Hobby a couple years back years and we both liked them. I just got my tax refund yesterday and have decided to buy a new airbrush with some of it. We have both the gravity feed only (TG3) and side feed with gravity and siphon feed cups (TS3) at work, both are the same price (so that won't matter into my decision) but I'm not sure which will work better for airbrushing lexan bodies without accidentally hitting the inside of them with the paint cups.

I've never used either one of those but just from lookin at it I'd say the TG would be easier to fit into tight places. I use an gravity feed Iwata that has a cup in the same location.

Thanks, they do offer smaller gravity feed cups for both as well, that would most likely be what I'd use for most work unless I was shooting a huge body, then I'd probably go for the siphon feed with a much larger Jar for those.

I'm not sure on the pricing for the Grex & haven't really heard much about em. You might wanna consider the Iwata line. I currently have over 75 airbrushes & another 50 or so sprayguns in my busy paint shop & every one of them is an Iwata. The quality is bar none. Depending on the amount of detail you're looking for, theres a nice selection of models, tip & needle sizes available. Coast Airbrush...www.coastairbrush.com...in Anaheim, Ca is the Walmart of custom painting & airbrushing. Check em out.
