RCC docs - WTF is growing on my hand??

It is poision ivy/oak. or possibly poision sumac. Either way it can get worse than you would ever imagine. I can look at the stuff and catch it. I once got it and didnt realize, we had accidentally burnt some wood that had the vine growing on it and i got it in my blood steam. i was scratching during the night, when i woke up my face had swollen up until i could not see. I went to the hospital and they gave me a shot, and it was much better the next day.

I have found a couple of ways to fic it on my own now.

my favorite way is to scratch it all up good and then pour some deisel fuel on it then get some soap that is specifically for drying up poison oak and completly wash off with that. By the next day it will completely dried up and not itching.

No joke it works.

You can die from breathing poison oak/ivy smoke!:shock::shock: Medical treatment is important if you inhale the smoke...obviously.

I had poison oak so bad a couple times as a teenager that I went to doc (not RCC doc...lol) and he gave me a big-azz cortisone shot in my upper azz cheek....injection site burned afterwards for about an hour...ouch!@(&(*@&^$@!

Oh swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool really helps dry it up and shorten the itching and suffering too.

My bet is on "Hand,Foot and Mouth disease" like Highlucks mentioned. You can get it from public places, eg GYM equipment if hygene standards are not up to scratch.

I vote for brakeclean!!! That stuff kills everything. I have used it to pre-clean my hands when they are extremely greasy after working on the truck, and I use it to kill pesky bugs(ie: bees, ants, spiders, etc.). It works well. Just make sure to wash with soap and water directly after, and then, put the lotion on the skin...:ror:

if you work with acetone daily then soak the rash in it , if it is poison ivy/oak it will dry out the oils very rapidly and it will go away ( does hurt a little if there are open wounds )

Yea acetone does work the best but is the worst thing to soak in your skin. Stings a little but what doesn't.
