alright I read through the first 5 pages of this section and didn't find an answer to my question, soooo. I am finally adding rear steer to my clod, I have a TQ3 modded for rear steer, and when I plug in the rear servo the car pretty much freak's out and won't do anything. I've been lead to believe that it is due to a lack of voltage? So I went and bought a marathon 1600 reviever pack, It is sitting on the charger as I type. I heard that I need to cut the red wire on channel 1 because it is the reciever's power source right now and since I am adding the reciever pack I won't need it. 6 volt's is 6 volt's correct? I wouldn't think it matter's if I am getting it from 1 place or both. Am I right or do I need to eliminate an existing wire? thank's in advance.

Well I plugged it in without cutting any wires, I noticed my rear servo was super hot just sitting there. Any answers???

.

instead of cutting the wire i would use a small knife or an xacto

to lift the tab holding the pin in the connector

sounds like running 2 power source's in series you would need a voltage regulator

i know this isnt 12 volt but when i ran 2 batteries in my blazer to run my system

i had to run a voltage regulator so the alternator would know when to stop chargeing

if you are running a t2 rebel esc you dont want to be cutting any wires.
I run a t2 with dual integy 55t with a 1700 battery no problems.you dont need a receiver pack if you are running a t2 rebel.
chimney."thumbsup"
