I know that SCRC has a pretty busy summer season, and that will be the focus for many in the area throughout the SCRC Summer Series. There are other events that are also happening in our region of the country (within 5-6 hour drive) that are also worth mentioning.

May 22nd - 23rd
"Battlegrounds 2"
Fairborn, OH
*Xirtic Crawling Products is a partial sponsor of this event
**This event is SOLD OUT....but tickets may come available in the "For Sale" section or the event thread if people's plans for that weekend change

June 26th - 27th
The Rox Box is holding a "Rox Around the Clox" 24 hours of crawling event
Indianapolis, IN
**Xirtic Crawling Products is a partial sponsor of this event
**Event starts at 8am on Saturday the 26th. Tickets become available on 4/30/2010.

Early November TBA (Saturday)
Indiana State Championships (Held at The Rox Box)
Indianapolis, IN
**This was a GREAT event last year....definitely worth attending.

October 23rd & 24th
iHobby Expo
Rosemont, IL
**This is a great event put on by SCRC at the iHobby Expo.

I am certain that there are others that are not listed here....so maybe this thread could be a centralized location to post those "Regional" events that are worth attending. As my list grows, I will be adding to this post...as I intend on attending (And sometimes Sponsoring) the events that I am listing. It would be cool if SCRC could form a bit of a presence on the regional crawling scene.

True.....but it does have REGIONAL draw even though it is LOCAL for us. I have added it to my list in POST #1. I am hoping to find a good event in maybe MINNESOTA for July....to kind of not hit the same area every month.

This event will be like no other:mrgreen:

Thanks to everyone interetsed in help with this event

I have already locked in my ticket, and am judging in ROUND #2. The Rox Box in Indianapolis is a GREAT indoor location that is run by a great RCC Member (The Eye). I have attended other events at their old location, and fully expect the new space to be just incredible. This is one event that is not too terribly far away that would definitely be worth attending.

I was just contacted by the organizer of this event, and if anybody is seriously interested in attending this event, please let me know....and I will check for a possible available ticket. MOST of the available tickets went to "judges" for the different rounds over the 24+ hours of crawling. Tickets for this event will be VERY difficult to get.

Just a note, I talked to Todd today and we are working on getting the ROCKXTREME event rolling with dates real soon. He's planning this event around the SCRC schedule to accomidate us. I've also been talking with Kasper and his club is very interested in helping with the support and sponsoring the event. Anybody who attended this event last Year knows it's a blast!

You will definitely have a GREAT time. "thumbsup"

I talked to "The Eye" this afternoon....all I can say is that I am NOT going to nap in the open/pits. :ror: 28 hours of crawling.....WOW......a true test of endurance!!

Getting ready to leave the house and head on down to Dayton, OH for the "Battlegrounds 2" USRCRC event. This should be a great time with many good drivers in attendance. Pictures will be posted after I get back, and there will be a written article covering the event on Big Squid RC. "thumbsup"
