Just want to make sure before trying to remove the paint of my bruiser ...

:?:

INSTITUTIONAL EASY-OFF oven grill and stainless steel cleaner ? ( its yellow )
advance grease penetrating formula

or ..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

POWER HOUSE Over cleaner Heavy duty

Fast acting grease penetrating formula

" both are YELLOW so .. not sure if those cans are the correct cans "

thanks bruiser is painted only with prime and tamiya TS.

The one I used was just Easy Off oven Cleaner with the Yellow cap... Spray the body down let it soak for about 30 - 45 minutes. Wash off paint... repeat until body is stripped. Mine took about 10 times. Probably could have just let it sit longer but I was afraid to ruin the body.

aye thats why i ask .. cause mine i see it a little different

its yellow with yellow cap too

but it says oven grill and stainless steel cleaner

i just did my hilux cab with one of the two oven cleaners. it had a yellow top. i just but the body in a garbage bag and sprayed it on the body and tied the bag up. let it sit overnight and then washed it and took the tooth brush to it to get it all off. for some reason the paint that was on there, really stuck good because it took me three times to get it all off.

aye but ... i was wondering which one of those 2 oven cleaners worked ?? in case someone has try them

and i have heard break fluid doesnt work as it used to work before .. and that now damage the plastic

so .. thats why i wanted to try oven cleaner .. just not sure which to use ..

please if someone has used oven cleaner .... let me know exactly which type .. cause i have those 2 bottles and both are yellow with yellow cap

or if theres another liquid or something to recomend please name it and put a link for it .

thanks

hey lorenzo, at first i was sort of scared about spraying my body too. I was not 100% sure if it worked. I just knew the yellow can took the chrome off of some wheels in about 5 minutes.

So I just nutted up and took the grill off and did that first. after seeing that it worked and didnt mess anything up, i continued to the cab. so if you are not sure about which can, just try one on the grill first. "thumbsup"

hope this ... works a bit... if it works .. ill put complete truck in it

ok .. lets cross fingers

1 hour ... did almost nothing ... i only see it removes paint from the parts where paint is very low and where i could see the prime ... looks like the black prime its easy to take it off ...

so .. i put more to it .. and ill let it stay there more time .. maybe some 3 hours and ill check .

lets cross fingers:badger:

yukon when u said let it over night .. how many hours it take u ?

brake fluid will eat plastic dont try it i have been doing body work for years and it will destroy it if u dont watch out.

Brake fluid WILL eat the plastic so you have to be careful. It works great but must be watched closely. It's an old school plastic model trick.

Easy Lift Off does work very well.
Easy Off oven cleaner is great for removing chrome from the plastic parts.

I am not sure. I was studying for finals. are you putting the body/grill in a garbage bag and tying it tight? it isnt the liquid that does the dirty work but the fumes. If you have other things to do, i would just spray it, put it in the bag, then spray a ton more on it, then tie up the bag as fast as possible and forget about it for a while, then come back. I took a tooth brush to body also to help peel off the paint
