Review, 1.9 Pit Bull, Mad Beast

I ordered a set last week and was hoping they'd be here for tomorrow's comp but no dice. I'm actually a little worried since the tracking dropped off a few days ago. Last time that happened my parts were MIA. I'll give them a few more days... ugh. Was going to homebrew some foams but maybe I'll see what CI has now.

What foams do you guys run in these tires? I ordered a set and they should be here soon
The Included Dual Stages Are ok for lighter Rigs ,like a box stock SCX10 Based Platform,,for a Heavier Rig , I Run The Crawler Innovations Dual Stage Closed cell 4.50 mediums up front and 4.75 mediums in the rear...But I know Eddie has a foam for these specifically,, I'm running my prototypes still,,and Eddie made them after,,So I Messed around with a few combos,,but This combo is my Favorite

Nice. Thanks for the reply. I will try these closed cells out. Couple buddy's run them in there rock beasts and I'm still running the stick two stage. Did you weight the tires? If so how much? These will be mounted in aluminum rims.

Haha i meant how much weight you put in the front tires and you answered that for me. I didn't mean weigh the hole tire wheel combo lol.

They came in the mail today and I mounted then up couldn't weight. Will try stock foams first no weihht s then order some crawler innovations and add a touch of weight.

Wow, those look great on those wheels!

Are these more so a "rock" tire? Any feedback on performance for casual trailing/ wet muddy conditions ?

I've run them in a little bit of everything the last week or so. They kind of remind me of a combo of the Rock Beast and Growlers (which they are). The extra height is nice and the extra clearance is noticeable. My truck was designed for 4.5" tires and the extra height does throw the truck off a bit. I think my year old (and well broken in) RB's have better straight ahead traction but truthfully there isn't much difference. In the wet, all Pitbull tires just work. These are a great all around tire and they will only get better with time.

I have the same RC4WD Dick Cepek wheels. How did they'd mount up to the Mad Beasts?
