Hi guys.
I recently bought a interco supers swampers 40 series from RC4WD.
These tires are huge!
The internal diameter of the tire is 97mm, wich is which is actually this same as in most of the big 40 series tires.
The problem is because of their width - 150mm.
Its took me a three days of searching for the proper rims.
No results.
I now, thad rc4wd offers allso aluminium cnc machined 150mm wide rims, but currently they ar out of stock (anyway, 230$ just for rims, its litle bit to much for me).
But...i found some photo's and video's on YT,wher someone rides these tires combined with rims from 1/5 maxstone crawler.
Apparently, these beadlock wheels are only 80 mm wide, so I do not understand how they can be mounted in to tires with ar 150mm width ?
Have any of you tried to do it?
Does anyone of you can tell me, what wheels will fit these tires ??
Thanks for any help.

You can use the axial 40 series wheels. You may have to narrow them! Not too hard to do. Just need a drill, hobby knife and glue!

Yes, I found these rims on ebay before, but they are also only +/- 80 mm wide, and tires ar 150mm and you say that I have to narrow them ???
Do you understand my first post?

Sorry bro I didn't look up the specs. I assumed that your tires were the same width as my 40s rock crushers, which are mounted on narrowed axial 40s. My bad!
You could get 8 of these and make them custom width, would cost you $141 from towerhobbies!

Any 3.8 size rime will work as well. Will get you going if you want to save up for the wheels you really want.

This is some traxxas 3.8 wheels with 40 series mud slingers

Guys, i now whats the size of 40 series mud slingers. They are about 3.5 (90mm) width, so there is a big difference between this two tires. (exactly 60mm).

40 series mud slingers:
Mud Slingers Monster Size 40 Series 3.8" Tires

And my ones Interco super swampers 40 series:
Interco Super Swamper 40 Series 3.8" TSL/Bogger Scale Tire

As I wrote already earlier, I know that the many rims will fit for the inner diameter of this tires, but i will not stretched tires, with is 150mm width for 80mm width rim right?
Here is a movie where the guy has exactly the same tires, and the wheels from exceed maxstone 5 scale.
These rims are 80 mm wide, so how he did it? :

It seems that it does not make any modifications to the rims.
Is it possible to make it stretch those tires like this?
What do You think guys?
If is possible to do it like that, it will be much cheaper option for the rims:)

Ok I see the problem now sorry. I think the traxxas wheels i have are 70 or 80mm wide, but i ended up cutting the rim down to make them sit right. Guessing i cut maybe 10mm off. I don't think you need wheels as wide as your tires. Not sure how wide of a wheel you might need but making some custom wide ones out of 8 rims would be cheaper then the 200+$ ones. Who knows, the 80mm wide might be OK.

Motoworx racing used to make 3.8 wheels, not sure if they still have any in stock but always worth a looksy. They won't be cheap either but they do make some really hot wheels!!!

You can mount them on the wheels you have mentioned just fine. The sidewalk will be 30mm wider than the wheel each side. As long as that clears your links , shocks or steering linkage you should be good

I will buy this rims from that exceed, and we will see how it will looks like.
I would like to have a 23mm hex, that's why I dont want rims from proline.
If they will be too narrow, i will make custom one from 4 pairs of rims.
motoworxracing - they dont have any 3.8 class wheels on offer now, but thx for suggestions.
